.
That isn't forgiveness, that is retribution.
My house was robbed last year, the guy took over 6,000 dollars worth of things,
when I got home that morning at 4:00am I was livid, but by the time the sun came up I had forgiven him more than once.
By the end of the week I got back a lot of things he took, not everything, and I am still angry but I still forgive him, he was arrested, tried and got 5 yrs. for his crime, when he gets out the State requires him to pay me more than 6,000 dollars for what he took, and costs.
The State put him in jail for breaking the Law I didn't, the State is requiring him to repay me for what he took, that is his penalty for his crime, it was also because he was on probation for Burglary, so technically was he put in prison because he robbed my house, or because he broke the rules of his probation?
The point is I forgave him before I even called the police that morning, that is what God requires of us as His Children, if we do not, then we are no different than anyone else in the world.
