If God exists and He is who the Bible says He is, then there are no mistakes and He doesn’t change His mind. There is, however, Satan, who whispers lies to all of us, and we can accept them or not.
If God doesn’t exist, or is not who the Bible says He is, then all of Christianity is wrong and everything is just a random occurance and there’s no meaning to anything.
There’s no possible middle ground.
Pretty much.
We choose what we want to believe....
God's truth.... which is without error.
or
We accept man's justification to excuse how we want to live or what we want to believe.
HOWEVER, we are not called to walk in judgement, but love. Does that mean that we have to agree with ones lifestyle? Absolutely not. However, IF we walk in love we must put truth out there, even if it offends, but all while stepping back allowing them to live in the way they wish to live. IF God does not trample our free will, how arrogant are we to demand someone live as WE choose they should. Trampling their free will.
God doesnt FORCE anyone to be with Him. If we do not agree with what He calls good and true He will allow us to choose to be separate from Him even though He knows what hell is..... it would not be love to FORCE someone to be with you that finds no joy in you.
We are called to speak truth, the truth is God says its wrong (whatever "it" is sin is sin, all sin), all we can do is warn a brother or sister "Hey there is a cliff there, watch out you are in danger". If they ignore that warning and we spoke truth in love....... that is where our responsibility begins and ends our "hands" are clean of their "blood" and where they end up is NOT because we failed to speak on the part of truth by fear of what one might think of us or their feelings may get hurt.
Walking in love is NOT saying anything like "God hates gays" or having that attitude. God HATES the sin, not the sinner. All sin, not just homosexuality, but fornication, anger, unforgiveness, adultery (which is as Jesus said is in the eyes and heart as well, not just the physical)...etc.... which of us are not guilty in the eyes of God without the blood of Christ?
We ALL have a plank in our eye, so our ("judgemental") focus should be mostly on self, not others..... outside of simply warning another what it is we see when one leans on man's justification rather than God's truth. Once that is stated and they have been told and shown their error (in scripture and why it is wrong) we are to still love and pray for that person that their eyes will opened.
Thats not really directed at you Strider even though I quoted you..... just a general statement and reminder to all.
