God would not do it, it would have been demonic. Things like this normally don't happen. When it does it normally indicates a heightened demonic activity, this is normally caused by people partaking in witchcraft, or gross sin. If you are not saved, or have sin active in your life, it is important to move away from sin, and turn to God. Only Jesus offers eternal salvation, and forgiveness of sins.

Did it feel hot or cold in the room? Has anything negative happened recently? Anyone practice occult rituals there or used a Ouija board?

Some such manifestations seem to be connected to the place, not the people. If your family has never experienced this before, and you've recently moved into the area - and no one in the family (lines) has been fooling around with the occult - that would be my first suspicion.

I recommend fasting, and praying for God's protection. I can't say for sure what it is, but based on my own personal experience, it doesn't sound like anything good. From my experience, Angels never really make a ruckus, and God doesn't need to get your attention through this way. He can do it anyway. Probably, the best thing you can do, like I suggested, is seek God's protection. As it says in Romans 8:31, "If God be for us, who can be against us?"
I have seen and heard spiritual beings my entire life. I have had similar experiences to yours. An example being, one time, when I was just 11 years old, I was in my bedroom, lying awake in my bed at 1:00 AM in the morning. No one else was awake. My bedroom didn't have a door on it, so I could hear pretty much every major noise in the house. Suddenly, from the kitchen, I heard what sounded like a glass cup hitting the floor and breaking. I imediatly got up and went to the kitchen to see what had happened. I checked everywhere, even the dinning room, and found nothing. Not even the slightest sign of broken glass anywhere. My family and I saw many more bad things in that house before we left. My father also had the same experience I did in the house we lived in prior to this one, when I was just a baby.
He was home alone, and he suddenly heard a glass break. He checked the entire house, including the windows and mirrors, and found nothing broken. My family and, also seen and heard MANY more bad things in that house, than the one that I mentioned above. Turns out, in both houses, the people who lived in them long before us did horrible things in them.

My born-again Spirit-filled friends tend to like to spiritually cleanse a new residence when they move in. I personally took "spiritual inventory" classes to be sure I had asked forgiveness for and renounced all the evil stuff I was messing around with before I met Jesus. Also asked around among church-folk for a recommended deliverance minister, and have visited several through the years. Demons know when we have "opened doors"-- in other words, invited them into our lives and homes through certain types of sin - even if we don't.

How long have you been living in this house? If it is a house you have recently moved into, it could already have demons in there from the previous owners if they were involved in any kind of occult activity.
Most likely demons than anything else.
If you have received Jesus Christ to be your Lord and have faith, yes, you can make it stop.

My suggestion would be to pray to God to bind the demons with His power and to cover your house with the blood of Jesus Christ. If you are a born again Christian, you can command the demons to leave your house in the name of Jesus Christ.

Did you just move into this house? Usually, a house that has "history" (like houses reputed to be haunted or the scene of a murder) have to have that disclosed in most states. If it keeps happening, your family may have legal recourse in whatever state you live in.
