Because our current body is not our future body. Someday we will have an imperishable body. One might even argue that people who go to hell won't even have bodies anymore but suffer in anguish in the spiritual state
Exactly! I just wanted someone to finally say this. According to you someone who rejects God will not be allowed to stay dead, they will be resurrected in a new form just so that God can torture them into all eternity. No thanks! Not buying what the Baptist are selling either! There is simply no truth in what you are teaching.

Following your logic, the Bible is teaching us that we have been created by a monster and we better pretend that we like him or he will put us in a torture place forever and ever! Unless we say some magic words because we fear not to?

You are not to judge God.

Halos are unscriptural; as are busted halos....We are to follow scripture and not unholy traditions of wicked men. Please consider following Christ and not a false religion.
Peter is/was not the 'rock', Popes are all fallible and of the devil; Mary is/was not holy nor the mother of God. Prayers to any other than Christ/God/ HS are of the devil.

@john6574

Not your responsibility after someone has died..... He / she is waiting to be judged.

Don't get scared by deaths. Nothing should make us afraid. Just do your part with love by the strength, wisdom, etc of Holy spirit. Let nothing shake you off the Rock (Jesus).

How the judgement will end you will not know, even if the end result looks crystal clear to you, you might be suprised when some do go to heaven and some don't....

There are 2.42 billion Christians (1/3) and that number is almost complete. The gospel has been preaches to the entire world and so as Jesus claimed this would be the time of the end in Matt. 24:14, let it be known, the end is near, Judgment Day is on the horizon for not just one person, but the world of unbelievers.

That is not speaking of the 'great commission' Mthw 24:14 refers directly to the Angel proclaiming the gospel @ the beginning of the Day of the Lord (Resurrection of the Dead, Rapture of the Believers, then beginning of the wrath of God) to announce to all that their time to make an eternal decision is no longer.- Rev 14:6-8.....& Christ return, our gathering to Him is not imminent, as we who are awake / sober shall not be overtaken as by thieves...2 Thes 2, 1 Thes 4, 1 Cor 15, Mthw 24, Is 13:6-12, Zeph 1:14-18; Joel 2:28, Rev 6:12-9:20, 14:20:4; 2 Peter 3

you might want to work on that arrogance brother; then consider scriptural truth rather than the false teachings to which you've succumb
Check your own arrogance, the concept of hell is a creation of ignorant men.

Man is to repent from his evil, if resurrecting a child to burn forever isn’t evil then what is evil?

Have courage, defend the character of God!

So,about 5 days ago,you may have seen this on the news but a rapper I listened to named XXXTentacion died when he was being shot because someone was trying to rob him. They took him to the hospital and he was pronounced dead. So out of panic and grief I search up "is xxxtentacion in hell" and watched a few videos of people having visions and dreams of him being dragged into hell by a tiger,and another one he was trapped in a cage in hell by a women who had the dream. He didn't believe in Jesus or anything like that,he believed in future lives,karma etc. So if these things are true,how do I deal with knowing that he is in hell? That chills my spine and he cant ever get out. Ever. But at the same time God knows his heart and he could be in Heaven! Thanks.
It should make us very urgent about sharing the gospels to our family, friends. It's such a gut wrenching thought that thought alone should give us an urgency to be ambassadors for Christ to tell the lost about the good news they have in Jesus, that He alone saves from God's wrath against sin.

To us people have good hearts, but deep in the heart God knows.. and the heart is evil and wicked. None can have the heart that Christ have.. Jesus Christ was the only one who had a pure and good heart, no one else who will ever walk the earth or has walked the earth including the greatest, and godliest prophets in the old testament had a heart like Christ.

Through one man (Adam) brought death and sin to everyone.. but the more sin great, the more God's grace grew.. and through one man brought more grace to us, and available to everyone. We are the lucky ones who get to tell people about it.. it is up to us to be on the urgent mission to tell the gospel and to lead our homes and own families to Christ.

Our mission ends when we die, or when Jesus returns. Jesus has NOT returned yet, only because He desires those lost to be saved while on earth.. there is no opportunity in hell, THIS IS our opportunity. Lets make it count.. its the only thing that we can do with eternal value, and that should be exciting enough to wake us up in the morning with excitement.. to be on God's mission to share his love and the gospel to the lost.

You are saying God is not a free will being, that he could not forgive unless his Son was killed unjustly. That's theoretical salvation. In the religion of Jesus salvation was by faith in the Father and the responsibility that comes with it.

God was already forging in the original, pre-cross gospel. That was the "good news". Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.

Jesus never taught that his death was to atone for the sins of mankind. That was an afterthought, a speculation by sacrifice mined believers and more appealing to the Pagan world that ultimately adopted the new gospel about Jesus in place of the original gospel about faith in the father.

The Jews had Jesus put to death for his gospel. Its kind of silly to say that putting him to death was actually the gospel. Death or translation is a part of mans life, Jesus lived the entire life of man.

20 He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.

21 And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing;

22 Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

1 Cor 1
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Are you sure about that ? :satisfied:

By the way the Gospel is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Romans 2:16
In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel .

I’m positive, Jesus never said that forgiveness was conditional to the Jews rejecting his gospel and killing him.

“What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?”

“Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”

Read Isaiah 53 and tell me who is dying for transgressions here .
Isaiah 53 is about Israel as Gods suffering servant. Jews who became followers of Jesus forced him into places in the Old Testament in justification of their conversion.

Jesus taught his gospel all around Israel for 3+ years, his "good news" that people were responding to wasn't "kill me as a sacrifice for your sins".

The claim that it was Gods will that Jesus be rejected, mistreated and killed so that God could forgive his tormentors, is inconsistent with Jesus teachings that survived. It really accuses Jesus of being insincere when all along he came to be killed for your sins!

The Parable of The Landowner

Matthew 21:33-46 reads:

Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower and he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country. Now when vintage-time drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit and the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one and stoned another. Again he sent other servants, more than the first and they did likewise to them. Then last of all he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. “Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?” They said to Him, “He will destroy those wicked men miserably and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons.” Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures:

The stone which the builders rejected

Has become the chief cornerstone.

This was the Lord’s doing,

And it is marvelous in our eyes?’

Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it and whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.”

The doctrine of the atonement claims that the land owner in the parable secretly wanted all his messengers and even his own son to be killed so that he could forgive them! That's just silly!

Did john the baptist lie about him ?
John 1:29
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

And what did you mean they forced Jesus ? Daniel made prophecy exactly to the day Messiah would ride to Jerusalem on a Donkey

Gentle reminder folks - Christian Advice is not a place to argue among posters. Please address the OP only.

If you'd like to debate the topic(s) General Theology would be more suitable.

Thanks very much for taking care to notice in which forum a thread is located. :)

John believed in the Jewish concept of the Messiah as an apocalyptic figure who would destroy the enemies of Israel.

“A voice of one calling in the wilderness,

‘Prepare the way for the Lord;

make straight paths for Him.’

5Every valley shall be filled in,

and every mountain and hill made low.

The crooked ways shall be made straight,

and the rough ways smooth.

6And all mankind will see God’s salvation.”a

7Then John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?

No wrath came, just a very nice Son of God.
