  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

When the two Canons of the Bible, the Old and New Testaments were closed.

7. The Bible: The Holy Canon of Scripture

And Let's be real here, it was The Council of Jamnia (90 A.D.) that decided and made this "Canon" After Christianity began.

5. The church fathers. The church fathers accepted the thirty-nine books of the Old Testament. The only exception was Augustine (A. D. 400) who included the books of the Apocrypha (those “extra” books that some Bibles include between the books of the Old and New Testaments). However, he did acknowledge that they were not fully authoritative. The books of the Apocrypha were not officially recognized as part of the canon until the Council of Trent (A.D. 1546) and then only by the Roman Catholic church.

Show me The Christian Council that decided the "Closed Canon".

The Truth is people believe that this is "The Closed Canon" because of Jerome, Augustine and Athanasius's "Canon".

Not everyone in The Church was in agreement with Athanasius's Canon.

To Be Clear, I agree that every Book that we have in our Bibles is 100% Holy Scripture.

I just believe that there are other books that have been Expunged, Hidden and Suppressed by evil men and purposely kept from The Church.

If unanimity among professing believers is your standard, how do you justify your canonical books? It's certainly not through general agreement.

This particular Thread is about "The Apocryphon Of Daniel".

It has progressed into a debate about when, how and who made and decided what The Jewish Biblical Canon and Christian Biblical Canons were.

We should make another thread about this to discuss it there.
