Not really enjoying this particular course for academic writing. It's useful, but I don't like the way it's taught.
Provide little details, you invest time in drawing up a draft for them to heavily critique, then the following week after they provide you with the proper details. It's a backwards way of teaching, they should provide you with the details first up so you can do the task properly and not twice.

I’ve never liked drafts in writing classes. I just want things written right the first time around. With minor edits as needed.

I had just been told about a terrorist attack or threat of some sort in Toronto. ... A pity that even a country of people who seem to relatively mind their own business can still be prone to this kind of thing. Don't know anything yet other than the words terrorist and Toronto put together in the same sentence (I did not inquire further at all because the person who brought it up has a tendency towards drama, if I may be honest), so I will go look up the details, now. In any event, I am determined not to let this make me afraid of making my new home in or around there soon unless I know God has willed otherwise for absolute certain.

Also noticed a billboard on my way home tonight a little while ago. Apparently Anna Faris is taking part in a remake of that movie Overboard, to come next month. .... Interesting to hear, for good or for bad.

Also got my refund check from the IRS today. *giddy with excitement*

And finally, when I went down to CVS for a quick errand, one of the first things I noticed coming in was this girl of maybe 14 or 15 standing behind her mother who was acting overly indecisive about purchasing something. The look on the poor girl's face was that same look of pure annoyance I know I always wore when having to tag along as a kid when my parents (particularly my mother) were shopping for anything, no matter how small or large an errand. You had no choice but to go along and put up with their various idiosyncrasies. I wanted to tell the girl out loud that I sympathize, like "I'm sorry; I had to tag along when my parents shopped all the time, too, so I totally understand." But of course her mother was right there, and it's kind of a passive-aggressive insult to her, so, you know, I refrained.

Finished my basic HTML course. Happy about that.. now it's time to practice and use the knowledge I've gained.

Find myself overwhelmed with coding.. but if I take baby steps.. the whole picture will gradually become clearer and clearer.

My socialising skills are improving a lot since being at university
It's really not difficult just to strike up a conversation with a stranger
It seems silly when you see all these people waiting and then riding on the bus all sitting there quiet, like they're all scared to take that first initiation towards conversing
So I've started to break this thinking first with myself and I'm enjoying it
On top of that, as easy as striking conversation has become, it's just as easy to ask for phone numbers

Wow. A part of me is half mind-blown and disappointed right now. There was this girl I knew from a church I went to back in the day that just came out with a book. Well, I sent her an email thru her website's contact page, saying I was looking forward to reading it and posting a review afterwards. Well, I didn't hear anything back from her with that e-mail. But I just found out that she went to Facebook and evidently blocked my name on there like that. Wow. And that was that. I know I've had some problems in the past, but this makes me think she might have some issues too. Why on earth would she go to that kind of length to block me for no overt reason on my part? Oh well

I don't know what to think. The only thing I can think of that warranted her blocking me was if she did a background check on me and saw my previous run-ins with harassment and other legal improprieties. If that's the case then I can understand. But no, I didn't say anything crazy to her thru e-mail nor during the times I saw her in church.

I think it's because my mind races a lot with things to do and what time it is and when I should let the dogs out and what to eat.... and..... I'll just stop there.

As for the AI's talking to each other.... yeah it was a bore.
