Questioning my salvation

Thank you everyone for all of your responses. I will continue to re-read all of these responses every now and then so that I may continually seek understanding. I have tried my best to meditate over each response and I have decided that I have been blind this entire time. Ever since I was a little kid, everyone has been telling me "Come, pray the sinners prayer and you will be saved", but I see that I have most likely never been saved even though I prayed that prayer multiple times with complete honesty and belief in it. I have realized that living as a christian really does mean living every day as if it were your last. For now, I now realize that being a christian means making EVERY EFFORT POSSIBLE to cut all sin out of your live every single day. I have never done this and I thank God and my savior Jesus Christ for opening my eyes and showing me that I have never been a true christian.

I would sure (not say) that you were never a Christian for it does seem you have been called to repentance as all Christians eventually are.

As I grow older I sin less but, my sins bother me more.

If someone is truly following the Lord and feeding regularly on the Word and exercising a prayer habit and in communion with the Lord Jesus day by day, then it figures that condoms cease to be relevant; because the person has been given other desires and interests. "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh." (Ezekiel 36.26)
