  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Pizza question #2:

Which style of pizza do you prefer?

  • NY style (thin and "chewy")

  • CHI style (thick and "doughy")

  • Don't have a strong pref either way

I prefer thinner-to-medium crusts, but I also like deep dishes.
My complaint about thicker crusts is their inconsistency. Sometimes deep dish/Chicago is light and edible, sometimes it's saturated w/grease (It's like eating a used sponge). Peace

Unfortunately, I couldn't vote as my choice was not listed. I personally favor a medium crust (neither thick nor thin) that is more flaky and crispy.

However, if I had to pick just one from the list, I would prefer the chewy crust. Doughy crust seems to get soggy underneath all the toppings (especially when overloaded with sauce) and suggest to me that it's not done. It's not too bad if the doughy crust is not overloaded with toppings and said toppings are delicious enough to make up for the sub-par crust. I love me a good pizza, but don't really care for things that get soggy. I'm that way with noodles, too. I hate them soggy and mushy, but the best when "al dente" (firm to the tooth).
