  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Half of Antarctica belongs to Australia, but many countries have bases there. The New Zealanders have webcams, as do most other nations. Flickr is full of photographs taken there. And apart from joining a government base, several private sightseeing options exist.

None of that is the least bit true.

There's GPS. Or you can navigate by the stars.
Well, GPS doesn't work that well down there. In fact, even a magnetic compass, from what I have read in a few minutes... is very untrustworthy.

Anyway. These are all good arguments and I am always open to new ideas to research into this topic. Check this out.

From: How do you navigate near the Poles?

There are times, however, when using GPS is difficult – if not impossible. Try going on an Antarctic expedition, for example – you’ll soon run into trouble. At temperatures of -40°C, the chemical reactions within all but the most powerful of batteries will slow to a snail’s pace – making them pretty useless for powering your electronic devices for very long. The next best thing might seem to be to whip out your trusty map and compass… except that even a compass stops being accurate as you approach the magnetic pole. No, for finding your way to the North or South Pole requires some truly old-school navigation techniques.

Again you make up excuses to dodge the simplest of questions
Seriously, Trogdor.... If the earth is flat, and the FE model is correct... this means that the edge would be somewhere beyond the cost of Antarctica, which circumvents the flat disk where North is in the center.

So....If I must take the time to explain this elementary hang nail that you have and keep pestering me about...HERE.

If the edge is beyond the ice wall coast of Antarctica....you would have to travel a long long distance beyond this coast, in harsh cold temps and even harsher terrain. Byrd had to take extreme measures with planes and fuel to get as far as he did.

If anyone wants to try... you are not allowed to just go trekking through Antarctica...If you did try, if you made it there.. good luck making it back too.

Anyway, I hope that this helps you get over this hurdle and move on to some serious questions.

Strange - for someone who claims to be "researching" the topic, you ignore even the most basic pretense of unbiased research yourself. You posts entirely refute one side and embrace the other.

You've obviously already made your mind up, so why not just come out and embrace being a flat-earther?
What ev's. I only try to explain to people there error when they bring up so called facts when they are scientifically wrong or just built on a foundation of academia telling the world the same thing for 60 years and passing it off as solid truth.

If you have something solid to add... go ahead.

It's just that since I have researched this a fare bit..I have heard these arguments before and saw their faults.

The US can't stop a bunch of Mexicans crossing a few thousand kilometres of border, but "they" can stop the entire world from getting across an Antarctic that would have a "border" of tens of thousands of kilometres if the FE "map" was actually true.
It's not just the US. It is the military from many countries.

It's a bit easier to stop people from going to the south pole, through miles of the most difficult seas to navigate, when you have radar and such...

You cannot just walk across a desert field and hop a fence.
Think....think... think.

It'll happen eventually. I'm sure years ago you can find posts where he says "Listen I'm not saying I believe in giants, I'm just interested in the idea." And lo and behold, here we are and he openly believes in giants.
Most of my arguments for giants will not fly with you do to your agnosticism.

However... the evidence for these beings is mounting.. There are skulls being found that are:

1/ very large and have double rows of teeth, while not being human.
2/ are known to be un human by the sutures of the skull bones that are EXACTLY the same in every human... just like we have one bone for our upper arm and two in our lower arm.. our skulls are specific to us... these large ones are not human.
3/ experts have reported that, the one and most common error, that they are head boarded or head bound skulls......these skulls were not produced by cradle boards or head binding.

It was the same when the news forum was flooded with 9/11 truthers. They'd claim that 'i'm just questioning everything - I don't believe either way" but would go on to rubbish everything posted unless it was supportive of 9/11 conspiracies.
Why not start a thread on some of these spin off topics? Leave this one as a single topic as it has lots of room for discussion on its own.

There's always my Conspiracy threads where any subject can be debated and discussed. I'm done with this thread as you'll all see.

Nobody can beat me in a flat earth debate (no globers), and they are keenly aware. They won't step foot in my threads for fear of the embarrassment they will experience there. It's comical to say the least.

I've been all over this stuff with no one to talk to... where have you been?! lol
Nothing much good in the way of discussion in here, bro.
brinny can ask incisive and challenging questions without a condescending attitude.
I appreciate your patience with and efforts on behalf of this crowd.
Have you been to mudfossil university?
Brinny is always polite and shows curiosity and input without condescension.

As far as the Giants, which should be in another thread, where I can get truly pounded for something that I am 100% sure that they existed...

LA Marzulli, Steve Quayle, Brien Foerster and Rob Skiba have done great work on this topic. Even Chuck Missler.

LA and Brien have just got their DNA results back.... huge cyanide pill for our history. Yeah... we have been either lied to outright or, for the most part.. fed a lot of stuff that was recorded wrong or omitted some stuff that was just too "twilight zone" for the books.

But are they? Do you have any evidence that this is true, other than the fact that the "truth" (as you see it) about flat earth still hasn't come out even though it wasn't stopped? Isn't it quite possible that the Trans Antarctic Expedition is just what it seems to be and isn't funded or controlled by someone trying to keep us all in the dark???
Could be.... yep.. it could be... no proof either way... is there?

I am also saying that if you get on a plane and go to Antarctica...there is no way of proving that you didn't just go to some barren cold place... how would you know?

GPS. Navigation by the stars.

And if they secretly took you to Greenland, you'd notice travelling through the tropics.

My wife's cousin claims that she has flown over Antarctica and that she has been on the continent. I never took her for a liar. I don't know how she faked all those photos.
Nobody here has said that you can't go there...

What people are saying is that when you go there you only see as much as a dot on a map... take all the pictures you want...You need to go hundreds of miles in a straight line before you could even start to get as far as Byrd did...

So... as Shania Twain said..."that don't impress me much".

I could take people to a lake, here in Ontario, in the dead of winter and tell them that they were in the North West Territories... they could take 10 gig of pictures and pass them off for generations... all the while never going near the arctic circle.
