The forgiven part is what many loath.
Unfortunately the conversation hardly gets there as some argue their church does not recognize some sins as sins .

So when it is pointed out "yes it is" and Biblical evidence presented, the ensuing posts are about legalism and Pharisees. Thus poisoning the well.

Grace to heal and Pointing to wound are two different matters and know this...

On the topic of forgiven homosexuals, I biblically prevail because I start with the Law and end with Jesus on the debate.

If people truly could confess their sins one to another in an atmosphere of Love and Grace with honesty and understanding ... without fail or limitation...

The devil would give up his day job! :D

And again... those that amplify types of sin over others as Warriors of righteousness aren’t on point either... the “Sin Pointers”... I mean.
The amplified sins on these threads are the very sins some argue are not sins. Pointing out that the Holy Scriptures surely do condemn such sins is not singling out some sins over others, but just stating the facts.

If one were to argue premarital sex is not sin and continued to relent it was not, and several posters posted verses showing it is, that is amplifying one sin. In this case amplification is an appropriate response.

Again... I acknowledge sin as sin. If it weren’t... then Jesus’ Forgivness would have no point.

I think some try to do the job of the Hoy Spirit.

Many Sinners know they are broken... while there are some that profess Christ and fancy themselves not broken.

I can’t speak for people who negate sin, but I’m pleased to tell people that feel hopelessly lost that they’re as loved as sister pious and Brother beloved.

I also am not afraid to flex the “while we were sinners” part of the gospel.

Are homosexual relations a sin?

Unfortunately... many sexually active in the The mental, emotional and so forth... to the point it goes outside of marriage... Christians... like to point fingers at gays as the ultimate sin.

According to western theology... the unforgivable sin is being gay. ;)

Cut to the chase... are you one of those?

As much so as Adultery and Heterosexual Lust.

They’re all in the Law.
And all of the above are confirmed as sins which unwashed and unrepentant will keep us from the Kingdom of God.

The question is in what Jesus meant when He said “Go and Sin no more”...

It either means... Go and unbelieve no more, or go and be righteous by the Law.

If only John had written that the Sin of the world is unbelief and the ruler of the world has been judged... if only... :D

And there it is.
No one, including me, downgrades other sins.

It has been argued here on CF by some that those in a same sex union involving active sexual relations are not sinning if the relationship is monogamous and loving.

Is this your position?

The Law is actually geared towards men.

By Hebrew Law... sleeping with a woman makes her your wife.

Sleeping with another man’s wife gets you dead.

Men were also entitled multiple wives.

However... women were not so privledged by the Law.

That whole sheet to Check for virginal blood after the wedding night and stoning thing is kind of rugged.

What we see in the NT are sinners leaving what they were doing and follow Christ. The point is not that we are perfect when we are born again but that we are given a change of heart not to keep living in the sins which weigh us down.

realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted. I’m not trying to be difficult, but instead point out that we all sin. As in... If a married man sees a gal that has some yummy curves and undressed her with his eyes... Jesus has flagged that as transgression.

Visa Vi... Sin is Sin and Grace is Grace

Ahhhh... Now the “Living in Sin” phrase...

What does that mean?

At what point is one “Not living in sin”?

According to scripture.. we are each to work it out with God... in fear and trembling. How much room does that leave to pick out specks from others eyes?

I’ve been enormously clear.

Sin... by the Law... is clearly identified and Jesus magnified the Law on the Mount.

How much clearer shall I be?

You made the statement homosexuals are singled out. So I gave you the below as an example of what the argument is in some churches and here on CF:

I see...

So the law isn’t for Athiests either then...

As long as they’re good by those standards?

And I said straight and gay... Murder and hate... blasphemy and wickedness... by the Law is all James 2:10...

I’ve said SIN is SIN and referenced Jesus and the Law...

I haven’t argued anyone catches a break on what sin is.

Thus... I would think you would have what you’re looking for.
