Heb 8:13 In that He says, "A NEW COVENANT," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Yes, that's what I said. God's Eternal Covenant of Grace surely overcame all man's unfaithfulness and made obsolete all the sins of those Christ died for, and whose sinful nature and being will have vanished away when they are resurrected from the dead by the Power of His Resurrection.

'What does it mean to be dead to sin?'

It does not mean 'that a Christian cannot sin'.

'How is it possible to be dead to sin?'

In Christ who died for sin "in Whom we co-died together with Him" it is not only 'possible', it is "The Good News of The Power of God to save".

What type of sins does a Christian commit who is dead to sin?

2Co 3:6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
2Co 3:7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away,
2Co 3:8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?

Wonderful! "The ministry of death"... of blood sacrifices and ceremonies administered by earthly, mortal, sinful priests to the conditions and requirements of a Moral Law, just imagine, "engraved on stone"! however "glorious" it was, had come to an end once fore all! That indeed was glorious! So "the glory of the ministry of death" was no match for the glory of Christ's Ministration through the Spirit of God's Eternal Covenant of Grace. WONDERFUL!

If ever something did justice to the glory and honour of the moral Law of God, it was in the event of “the glory of Moses’ countenance passing away” and “the Glory of God in the face of Jesus” succeeding, making obsolete and replacing "the ministry of death".

(The poor Jews and legalists who will not accept the irrevocable progress of God’s Eternal Covenant of Grace…)

Gal 4:24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.

Gal 4:25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

Gal 4:30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.

Gal 4:31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

Gal 4:24 which things are symbolic. For these are the two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar—
Gal 4:25 for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children—

Gal 4:26 but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Gal 4:27 For it is written: "REJOICE, O BARREN, YOU WHO DO NOT BEAR! BREAK FORTH AND SHOUT, YOU WHO ARE NOT IN LABOR! FOR THE DESOLATE HAS MANY MORE CHILDREN THAN SHE WHO HAS A HUSBAND."
Gal 4:28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise.
Gal 4:29 But, as he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now.

Gal 4:30 Nevertheless what does the Scripture say? "CAST OUT THE BONDWOMAN AND HER SON, FOR THE SON OF THE BONDWOMAN SHALL NOT BE HEIR WITH THE SON OF THE FREEWOMAN."

Gal 4:31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free.

...Listen... the hallelujahs shouted for good riddance of the Sabbath and Fourth Commandment...

God, do you hear?! What are you going to do about it, LORD? Lord of the Sabbath?!

So can you answer these question?
What does it mean to be dead to sin???
How is that possible???
What does it mean that a Christian cannot sin?
I really want to see if you study anything besides the Sabbath and the Law.

It means that the new creation is as 2 Cor 5 says - in harmony with God ... and as New Covenant says the Law of God written on the heart. We sin out of the old nature - whether we "choose" to live in our old nature or our new nature in Christ is a matter of choice. the Holy Spirit enables the new nature - but the old sinful nature still exists and you can always "choose" to live in it -- which you in fact do -- each time you choose to sin.

She is talking about Romans 6 -- but because she and other Christians do at times sin "in real life" the result is a doctrinal question

Lord of the Sabbath?

Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Jesus Christ is our Sabbath rest every day of the week.
He is Lord of the Sabbath.

I'm also talking about 1 John 3:9 which says we CANNOT sin. That seems to go against what you just said.

I’ll tell you lawless legalist anti-Sabbatharians what,

Jesus Christ is much more than just the Sabbath; He is the Law of God’s Own Word of Will, “Jesus who gave them rest so that therefore rest on the Sabbath for the People of God remains”, “made”, “valid”, “stablished” and “MAGNIFIED : THY LAW, O GOD”, by the Resurrection from the dead of God’s dear Son, “the Son of Man Who keeps the Sabbath, Who protects” it, against the lawless anti-Sabbatharian legalists “polluting” it with bottomless and vile, vain thoughts.

You are free to post anything you like as long as you remove that misleading Scripture reference, 'Col 2:16'.

And by the buy, it is a contradiction in terms as well as logic or fact to speculate, Q~Jesus Christ is our Sabbath rest every day of the week.
He is Lord of the Sabbath.~Q (Dale Ratzlaff the BaBerean)

Keep what, every day? "the Seventh Day Sabbath OF THE LORD GOD"?!

Amazing! You're seven times holier than God?!

Hint, It is MUCH easier and less works of one's own righteousness to just cast out the Scriptures, lady.

You can trust God one day a week if you want to, but I trust in Him everyday.

“And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; 5 and again in this place:They shall not enter My rest.”

6 Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, 7 again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said:

Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts.”

But now, much easier than to just throw out the Scriptures is it to just 'adapt', 'panelbeat' them to one's own liking and or real need.

How often do you trust God? Just Saturday?

The Sabbath is not about 'You can trust God one day a week if you want to, but I trust in Him everyday.'

...or about most perfunctory perversion of Scripture, Q~“And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; 5 and again in this place:They shall not enter My rest.”~Q

Did you know that every covenant has a "sign of the covenant"? The Ten Commandments was the Old Covenant (Exodus 34:28). And the SIGN of the Old Covenant was the Sabbath (Exodus 31:13).

We are under the New Covenant, and the sign of our covenant is the "Cup of the New Covenant." 1 Corinthians 11:25.

When Jesus cried out "It is finished!" That ended the Old Covenant. Since then, the laws of God are written on our hearts, not on stone. And these are the commandments of Jesus: To believe on the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another. 1 John 3:23

It doesn't matter to me if you want to worship on Saturday, but don't judge anyone for keeping the commandments of Jesus.
