  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Immigrants take over California.

Let's not forget that it was a Republican politician who called on the Central American people to come to the US and fill the job openings that were soon coming. That Republican politician was George Bush Sr. In the 1980s. The rich elites planned in advance to remove manufacturing out of the US to slave labor countries. This was going to leave only service industry work which was not going to pay enough for a person to live on and maintain a lower middle class living. The Hispanics would gladly accept those jobs and live in a house with 10 others in order to do so. I do believe that the Republicans were ignorant enough to believe that these Hispanics were all going to come here on temporary visas. They just didn't realize the desperation or mindset of these people. The exodus to the USA became an out of control title wave that is now sinking the ship.

So what are you planning to replace democracy with? Sorry but the US is a nation of immigrants.

The idea that America is "a nation of immigrants" is obviously false, unless you define "immigrant" so broadly that everyone not living in northern Africa (or wherever humanity ultimately originated) would be considered an immigrant.

Maybe minorities shouldn't get a full vote. Y'know, maybe vote should be divided between two or three minorities. Y'know so they only really get 1/3 of a vote.

Interesting thought. :D

It is a shame that these immigrants Focus on the Family so much. We all know family is just not that important.

Smell the coffee. I'm referring to "chain migration".

Love for the family is a virtue in the proper context of Christian truth, which includes a love for God, and a desire for the common good (including the good of those outside of your family.)

Conservatives say non-Christians and immigrants who love their family are horrible. Got it.

The thing I find most amusing about the idea that we shouldn't worried about massive migration, since migrants become "American" when we get here, is that if we follow that chain of reasoning far enough everyone living in American is actually a member of the Native American tribal nations. After all, we reside in the same location.

Didn't expect you to spend even one second attempting to read what someone else said.

But I do think that my response can be of benefit to others, so it wasn't a wasted effort.

Sure I did. In short: Christian families good, everyone else's family bad. It took like, 4 seconds.

But I do think that my response can be of benefit to others, so it wasn't a wasted effort.

Other conservatives and Christians should be aware of what they think about non-Christian and immigrant families.

 Thank you for posting this. This is what I've been telling JGG. (Be prepared to be called a racist for posting this article.)

I might be called racist, but why would I care?

The word lost all force years ago. Only cowards care about it now.

Not for posting that article. I take it you agree that only Christian families are important and other families are bad?

Now that you mention it Christian families are very important. We need more of them ("salt of the earth" you know).
