This is a great idea for a topic of discussion. This thread should be interesting and that maybe we all will learn a few things here and there which we failed to take into account previously.

For starters, we have to look for clues in the text, regardless what order the chapters themselves are in in the the book of Revelation.

Here's an example of something I brought up in the past.

Revelation 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Compare this to any of the events recorded in Revelation 11 and Revelation 13, for example, and in those two chapters what will one not find being depicted during those events? This for one---And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains

Shouldn't that be telling us that, just because Chapter 6 precedes these two chapters, that doesn't mean the events recorded in Revelation 6:12-17 necessarily precede the events recorded in the latter two chapters? Not to mention, if one checks out Matthew 24, we are told there that the sun becomes dark after the tribulation of those days. Apparently the tribulation of those days are referring to the events recorded in Revelation 13.

So, basically this gives a glimpse in to how I might try and determine chronology throughout the book of Revelation. Others might have different procedures altogether, which may work as well as the procedures I take, or may even work better than the procedures I employ.

What is your process for putting the events detailed in Revelation in chronological order?
Hello Douggg
Wow! Put the events of Revelation in a chronological order? To do that, one must first understand that these events in Revelation start from the Beginning in Genesis and up through the end of the scriptures.

To understand Genesis to a certain degree, has taken this one more than 50 years of study and prayer. I feel I have a good grasp on it now, but certainly not a full grasp of it. Having said this, I would be more than happy to write on Genesis over a period of time; if God permits.

Could you provide an example of what you are getting at here?
There are many places in the world where believers say they are going through their great tribulation right now.

We need to put it according to proper grammar.
such as - watching for when John uses the definite article

such as - first he said - seven stars
When he wanted to tell us more about them later, he said - the seven stars.

Do you mean such as the following?

Revelation 10:1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

Revelation 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

Revelation 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven
And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven
And I saw an angel come down from heaven

Using your suggestions and procedures, that should mean Revelation 20:1 chronologically precedes the other two passages above. Which if true, seems to support a position such as Amil, rather than a position such as Premil. The above might look like the following, chronologically.

And I saw an angel come down from heaven
And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven
And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven

Using your same logic, in order for John to have seen another angel come down from heaven, it requires that he first sees the first one that comes down from heaven followed by him then seeing another angel coming down from heaven at a later time. So on and so on.

I already know you disagree since we have had this same discussion in the past. By you disagreeing though, you are breaking your own rules that you are applying to other texts where you are determining things in this manner, but when it comes to the above those rules no longer count. Which then tells some of the rest of us that these grammar rules you are going by, that these are pointless and meaningless if it applies in some cases but not all cases.

The first thing to do is understand how Revelation is written, because when you depart from how John wrote the book you're going to be all over the place. It is written in prophetic, apocalyptic visions.
It is also highly symbolic...filled with symbols found in the OT.

To even think Revelation is speaking to our time is the gravest error made.

The events of Revelation are seen in parallel teachings of the same event.

The End Of This World, Eternity Begins.

Revelation 10:6-7

Time No Longer, Mystery Of God Is Finished

Revelation 11:15

"He Shall Reign For Ever And Ever"

Revelation 16:17

"It Is Done"

Revelation 20:11-15

Final Judgment.

All Scripture referenced, depicts the end of this world, eternity begins.

We must look at the text and make sure our interpretation does not produce a conflict with other passages.
If our interpretation produces a conflict, it cannot be correct.
We cannot ignore anything just because it destroys our system of interpretation.

Early in the book we find the seals book and find out that only Christ is worthy to remove the seals from the book. Over and over again in the passage Christ removes the seals one at a time and then John is told "Come and see." This section contains a summary of the whole Book of Revelation, which ends in the Second Coming at the end of chapter 6.

Christ's Second Coming must be in chapter 6, where we find the same signs in the sun, moon, and stars that are found in the Olivet Discourse. (The moon does not give its light during a Blood Moon.)
We have some or the same characters found in chapter 19 hiding from the wrath of the Lamb. (mighty men, captains, free, bond, etc.) They would not be hiding from the wrath of the Lamb, unless the Lamb is present at this point in time.

The Second Coming is found at the 7th trumpet, which is the last trumpet found in the Book of Revelation and the time of the judgment of the dead in Revelation 11:15-18. The text says this is the time when the kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of God and Christ "forever". How long is "forever"? Many try to ignore the time of the judgment of the dead in this passage, because it ruins their chronology.

The beginning of chapter 12 is a history lesson which includes the fall of Satan and the birth and death of Christ.

The Second Coming is found in the "harvest" of chapter 14.

It is found again when He "comes as a thief" at Armageddon in Revelation 16:15-16.

It is found also in chapter 19.

If we take the text at face value we are forced to see that the Book of Revelation is a series of overlapping visions, given to John on the island of Patmos.

Excellent presentation of the second coming, final judgment, shown in different chapters of the Revelation.

How could a person not see the very clear and plain truth of scripture.
