I am guessing your PHD is not in history, so let me help get some facts straight.

The peaceful population of Germany went along with the slaughter of Jews to the tune of 6 million which also include countless millions of Russians and Polish. Many towns who surrounded the death camps the entire population was well aware of what was going on. My grandfather was one of the Americans who stormed the beach on D Day to help liberate Europe from the Nazis. He also was a direct witness to at least two camps and was one of the soldiers who went door to door pulling Germans out to march them through the camps. The Germans living around the camps had full knowledge of what was going on. For crying out loud you can't burn bodies 24/7 and the stench not reach for miles around.

Ukraine, half of Ukraine, especially the western half actually assisted the Germans in rounding up Jews and were sympathizers to the Nazis. Eastern Ukraine, just like today aligns it self with Moscow and Russia. My friend grew up in Kiev and played in the forest where Babi Yar massacre took place. Ukrainians are well aware there were Ukrainian Nazi sympathizers that helped round up the Jews and kill them.

Japan bombed us first, remember Pearl Harbor. How many innocent Americans were killed in that attack where the Japanese not only dropped bombs on Pearl Harbor but surrounding areas. You did not vote, you were too lazy to vote or simply did not care nor understand what cost people had paid so you could have this right. So even though you have freedom of speech it is not backed behind actions of one who understands.

Well, let us start with the recognision of the fact that a citizen HAS A RIGHT to vote ot NOT to vote. In one of my publications I tried to explain that to vote for thes or that person is to take trsponsibilities for the forthcoming domestic and foreign policy decisions of this or that candidate. The international community appealed to political leaders to reach a new level of thinking, the essence of which is that by adopting a decision, its consequences should be taken into account with respect to each individual person to whom Mother Nature gave certain rights from birth. America did not get rich by ruining or exploiting the rest of the world. If I do a "whom does this serve" analysis on your thought it comes out as something that fits Russian ambitions for a wider hegemony in Eastern Europe and the wider world. The logic being that if you knock America down to size you elevate Russia. So you shared the usual Russian fears of NATO Encroachment on its borders for instance.
