Dude you are either drunk on alcohol and high on drugs as there is something seriously wrong with your reading and comprehension skill
Please address my position and do not attack or impune my person as per forum rules.
I am otherwise enjoying this conversation so I don't want to be forced to report you for rule violations.
For Christ To come as a thief in the night in the 1st century is lunacy as he was a baby born in the first century .
He aslo Grew up, and Died, rose again and ascended into heaven
in the first century Did he not? And He came and Crushed the Chief Scribes and Priests at Jeruslam's 1st Century Destruction in 70AD (Matthew 21:33-45) - Long after you claim He was a Baby so could not do any of that.
Friend, Jesus Promised His thiefs coming would Befall the first century peoples at Sardis.
THIS IS A BIBLICAL FACT:
Revelation 3:3
Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.
Jesus MUST have come upon those people otherwise HE is a Liar and false prophet. That you can so flippantly dismiss this promise as being false, fake, of no consiquence is frankly shocking.
I guess you believe we can simly rip Revelaton 3:3 out of our Bibles since you believe it is an untrue passage? That Jesus was issuing empty threats He had no intention of fulfilling?
The story of Gods Word is to tell us that one day Jesus will reign as KING over the peoples of earth
He already does!
And Scripture PROVES IT!
Matthew 28:18
Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority
has been given to Me in heaven
and on earth."
Mark 1:14-15
Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying,
The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
1 Peter 3:21-22
Jesus Christ, who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven,
after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him
Revelation 1:5
Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead,
and the ruler of the kings of the earth
Acts 2:30-36
David...being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. For David is not ascended into the heavens...Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
1 Timothy 6:15-16
[He] is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who alone has immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see
Scripture clearly says that Jesus is the King of Kings
now over heaven and earth!
I must point out to you, seventysevens, that you have a lot of views, but none can be found in the actual pages of scripture. And that should provide you with caution, I think. Read again the scriptures above. What do they say?
They say Jesus is the reigning king over all heaven and earth now. He has taken the throne promised to David's son, according to Acts 2:30-36, and he reigns and does great things, like pour out his powers at Pentecost and bring judgment at AD 70 and judge the all the living and the dead. Was King David able to do any such things? No. But the Son of David is a Divine King. A God-King, ruling over Heaven and Earth RIGHT NOW.
