Some conservatives did. I was a young Army officer back then and thought Washington insiders were not focused on the challenges facing our nation. Elections have consequences and Clinton was POTUS and thus my boss.

As a senior officer under Obama I thought the birther stuff was a stupid distraction. But that was a CT deal and not something a special counsel investigated.

It's a Beltway game of revenge and somewhere the furies must be silenced.

It started with Iran Contra and continues today. The party out of the White House will find ways to weaken the sitting POTUS. No one seems to want to blink.

Yeah.

People sometimes think the world is a movie and not real life. In movies, people always have clear meanings for doing things. A person lies because he's clearly trying to hide something. But in real life, people lie all the time becuase they are scared. Sometimes they lie about something completely innocent because they are "scared" they may have done something wrong without even knowing it. And the grilling you get from these guys can be brutal. They can really put the fear of God into you about your future fate. And Flynn was grilled for hours. They know he lied about something, yet they have not said what he lied about was wrong.

i.e. all he is guilty of is lying. And even then it's a relatively inconsequential lie. If we get more info, I may change my position, based on the info.
