  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What is the purpose of the thousand-year reign of Christ?

Jesus will not return to earth and take a throne in Jerusalem, and hang out with mortal humans.
Sounds like something from someone who feels rejected , don't worry as long as you have accepted Him as savoir he will hang out with you as well :)

Joh 4:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
Joh 4:20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
Joh 4:21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
Joh 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
Joh 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Based on the words of Christ above, we will not be hanging out in earthly Jerusalem.

 What did Paul say?

Gal 4:25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

Gal 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Paul agrees that we will not be hanging out in the city of bondage.

Jesus wont be on earth with mortal humans, he warned the believers about this teaching in Matthew 24:23-27

Will you receive the future antichrist, as your Jesus returned to earth, to hang out with mortal humans?

Dont be deceived

If they destroy all of their knives how will they cut the lamb's throat for the sacrifices?

Obviously you don't understand how there will be sacrifices When the Lord Jesus is KING on Earth
the reference is that there will not be War anymore
Do you know the difference between a knife and a sword and a pruning hook ?

Only thing that you show is an unwillingness to accept ALL scripture which is why you don't get it
Jesus CLEARLY says HE WILL return to HIS Mountain on Earth and will reign from there , but that does not mean he does nothing but sit on a throne , just as he did the first time he walked on earth , Jesus CLEARLY says the SAINTS will RULE & REIGN WITH HIM
JESUS CLEARLY speaks of all the nations to go up HIS mountain to worship HIM
Many scriptures you refuse to accept simply cause it tears up your doctrine

And where is this mountain?

Heb 11:15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

Heb 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Heb 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

He will return in "flaming fire", based on 2 Thessalonians chapter 1.

Do you realize what will happen to this planet when the Son of the Living God returns in "flaming fire"?

If you do not, read 2 Peter 3:10-13.

Peter was looking for this earth to be burned up on the Day of the Lord, when He comes as a thief.
I am looking for the same thing.

The Millennium (also known as the Millennial Kingdom) is the 1,000-year reign of Jesus after the Tribulation and before all the people of the world are sent to either heaven or hell. Jesus will reign as king over Israel as well as all the nations of the world (Isaiah 2:4; 42:1). The world will live in peace (Isaiah 11:6–9; 32:18), Satan will be bound (Revelation 20:1–3), and, at the beginning, everyone will worship God (Isaiah 2:2–3). The purpose of the 1,000-year reign is to fulfill promises God made to the world that cannot be fulfilled while Satan is free and humans have political authority. Some of these promises, called covenants, were given specifically to Israel. Others were given to Jesus, the nations of the world, and creation. All of these will be fulfilled during Jesus’ 1,000-year reign.

In short its a testimony that Satan's way lead unto death, destruction and immoral behavior and in juxtaposition with Christ at the head humans will be nothing like the barbarians they were under Satan who is locked in the bottomless pit.

Humans followed Satan's rule for 6000 some odd years, the humans follow Christ for 1000 years. The example of the difference will of course be startling in contrast.

Please show me where I missed it...

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Jesus Lord reigning on earth
no matter what scripture you try to find cannot override GOD Almighty saying he will be here at the same time people growing old and children playing in the street
You choose to be blind , you would rather believe anything no matter what it ;than accept and acknowledge the truth of scripture

When you understand that when Jesus returns with the Holy angels, its the final judgment, lake of fire, eternal life, eternal kingdom time :)

There will be no earthly 1000 year kingdom, with mortal humans present, eternity has started :)

It's you who disregards the very simple explanation of scripture as presented.

Will you deny "Eternal Life" is seen in verse 46, Will you deny those that obtained "Eternal Life" enter a kingdom in verse 34 thats "Eternal" :)

Verses 31-32 Jesus returns with the angels, the nations are gathered before the throne, judgment takes place.

Verse 34 The "Eternal Kingdom" is presented for the righteous to enter.

Verse 41 the wicked are judged to the lake of fire.

Verse 46 the righteous obtain "Eternal Life" and enter the "Eternal Kingdom" seen in verse 34

Matthew 25:31-46KJV
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall gset the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

you totally missed every valid point Anyone makes if it is not what your ears want to hear
The scripture is very clear Jesus returns to earth and watches as old people age , and children play in the street and the nations go up to Jesus Holy mountain to learn HIS ways

It does not matter if it is Zion or Jerusalem , tim buc two , or some garage band's basement --scripture is EXTREMELY Clear Jesus returns to earth and watches as old people age , and children play in the street
and the nations go up to Jesus Holy mountain to learn HIS ways

That shatters the folly you push and you continue to misinterpret scripture seems to be intentional , You do not want truth , you only want someone to agree with you , you guys continually go from thread to thread telling everyone who does not agree with you that they are teaching a false doctrine when it is you that are forcing a false doctrine on everyone that does not agree with you

Time to shake the dust of the sandals !
2Ti 4:3
"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears".

2Ti 4:4
"And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables".

You run from the truth presented below, without response to the teaching seen in Matthew 25:31-46, why?

When you understand, when Jesus returns with the Holy angels, its the final judgment, lake of fire, eternal life, eternal kingdom time.

There will be no earthly 1000 year kingdom, with mortal humans present, eternity has started :)

Will you disregard the very simple explanation of scripture as presented.

1.) Will you deny "Eternal Life" is seen in verse 46?

2.) Will you deny those that obtained "Eternal Life", enter a kingdom in verse 34 thats "Eternal"?

(Verses 31-32) Jesus returns with the holy angels, the nations are gathered before the throne, judgment takes place.

(Verse 34) The "Eternal Kingdom" is presented for the righteous to enter.

(Verse 41) The wicked are judged to the lake of fire.

(Verse 46) The righteous obtain "Eternal Life" and enter the "Eternal Kingdom" seen in verse 34.

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

Jesus Christ Is Lord :)

I have accepted Jesus the Messiah gift of salvation , as Jesus taught of being "born-again" as he taught Nicodemus , I have accepted Eternal Life through Christ and no one can change that
especially not your bogus hog wash fallacy, you need to join a true bible believing church and learn the truth of what the bible really says

The scripture is very clear Jesus returns to earth and watches as old people age , and children play in the street and the nations go up to Jesus Holy mountain to learn HIS ways

If these old people die, does Christ officiate their funeral service?

Where does the person's soul go, since Christ is on earth?

In Heaven [for the just] ... GOD the Father will still be in Heaven when Jesus will be on the Earth during His Earthly 1,000 years reign.
You need to study 1 Corinthians 15:25-28 who explain the reason for the 1,000 years reign of Jesus ON THE EARTH.It also explain why DEATH will still be a fact of life ...for those who are still in a mortal body.

1 Corinthians 15
25For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 27For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. 28And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
