Once upon a time progressives - the label many use - have quoted and lived by: I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

I think their movement has been hijacked, because the name calling, labeling, and violence? Is against the progressive thought. Progressive's tend to tell you their rationale, and these groups today can't. As with any movement you always had a couple of nutters that had to strike out with violence. The violent ones are the individuals that are taking over - in many cases, and if you listen to them are more active due to 'feelings' and not rationale. You can't lead a movement over feelings - they are to fluid, and in some cases you see them eating their own because of that.

It reminds me of the group of school bullies. People avoid them because they are NOT safe, and they will use force to get people to bend to their ways. Today? They want to give the impression that they are the 'popular' crowd, and will use name calling and intimidation if you dare to disagree that they are NOT correct with their line of thinking. They tend to project their own actions/thought process onto others. When they call people Nazi? Their actions tend to have those characteristics to shut people down. lol they scream about authoritarianism? Yet, never recognize their portray that themselves.

They claim they are standing up against some form of evil, and then act evil themselves. They don't need to use persuasive thought. They just do their bully thing, and then lol chant against bullying. It seems to me they want to turn into the bully they claim to hate. Then get frustrated when they are NOT listened to, or taken seriously - their group think.

I honestly think the left are afraid of them. Our country does best when we have two healthy sides of the debate, but that is NOT the case today.

It will get worse when they can't find jobs, because no one will want someone like that working for them. When they can't pay back their loans, because employers need employees that help advance the company - not protest, threaten, and break things. Sadly, this will implode and get worse.

And the instigating factor is the regressive/progressive, post modernist, ethical and cultural relativist, neo-Marxist, open borders, islamophilic, globalist left that is instigating the current culture war, which will inevitably progress into civil war once enough lines have been drawn and crossed. Nonsense...companies can play at diversity all they like...all that matters is competence. If a company doesn't hire the best and brightest...then those applicants go elsewhere...and the company suffers for it. They can diversify to a point, simply for public relations, but eventually they'll have to hire those who are capable.
