Was this a normal thing? High school modelling?

Apparently my high school was subpar! We just had normal picture day. You know, a rather sketchy looking older guy would set up in the library, hang a fake sky backdrop and blast some crazy lights so you couldn't help but squint AND look like casper the ghost.

Apparently my high school was subpar! We just had normal picture day. You know, a rather sketchy looking older guy would set up in the library, hang a fake sky backdrop and blast some crazy lights so you couldn't help but squint AND look like casper the ghost.

I think if you paid extra you could do the close-ups. My picture was just the "beautiful" and "authentic" sky backdrop with the "not bright at all" lights. Yes, I managed not to blink, but my eyes squint a lot naturally so I was covered lol.

Haha, I remember school portraits. Honestly I haven't liked most of my photos since middle school. I usually don't like how I look in them.
About five years ago we had family portraits taken, and in all three of the photos I was in, I notice that one of my eyes is partially squinted/closed giving me kind of a weird expression. I don't even know how that happened.

My left eye squints more than my right, and it's the funniest thing. It used to bug me when I was younger, now I just laugh because if I try to open it wider my right eye just looks like i'm giving someone the snake eye. God just decided to give me a left eye that squints more lol

Actually, my high school was the same haha. Oh picture day...how could I forget.

I had that picture taken at a local agency. I thought I was just going to get a haircut at the time, didn't expect to do modeling lol.

My school year book pictures look like a systematic decline in happiness and over all "give a flip"
I started out pretty jovial in Kindergarten and by the time i hit middle school it was looking like jailhouse mugshot photos. yeah, i grew up in a pretty bad environment.
it took Christ invading my life to give me a joy and smile that was never there before during my childhood.

Maybe the photographer didn't notice it, I didn't actually notice until I looked closer. It doesn't look too bad, though, just something I saw.
