  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Trump to almost for sure end the Dreamers Program (illegal immigrants)

If the Dreamers program is shut down.....

Noooo, you were talking about a president setting an example. Keep up.
Sorry. You not provide quote so not understand what I need to keep up. Cannot read mind.

Yes agree Clinton set very bad example. Still see as you try to change subject. You not think Trump set bad example also?

Evangelicals often call natural disasters God's punishment for moral degeneracy. That's why I was interested to learn that Trump's 11 bedroom Caribbean home was devastated and that Irma is taking aim at Mar a Lago. While I believe this is random, there is a karmic justice in it. Trump's lack of empathy to the Houstonians was horrifying.

Trump lack of empathy is very horrifying. Almost like he not understand that other people are human like he is and can suffer also. Remind me of this -

Trump on USS John S. McCain collision that left 10 missing: 'That's too bad'

Would have thought someone lost $10 bill. Or when he support kick 25+ million off of healthcare.

What a load of unsubstantiated, unproven horse radish.

Good, because I try to be kind and empathetic, generous and fair.

You saw my post as attacking Trump. I saw my post as standing in solidarity with Houstonians (did Trump make a donation yet? I did.)

Did I express a little justifiable anger at pastors who condemn monsoon victims in India and hurricane victims in Houston and the Caribbean (so far) while failing to draw a correlation between Trump's behavior and the destruction of one of his homes? Sure. I still believe it's random....but I hope that it will teach Trump empathy.

Trump lack of empathy was horrifying. Was so bad Trump had to return and try again. Same as when Trump hear 10 sailors die. "That's too bad." Would have thought someone lost $10 bill. Sad.

You stated they were "immoral" and then went on to imply that Christians would never cross a border illegally. So I ask you again, what make their decision immoral?

I never said they were immoral, the person you originally quoted did and I quoted you talking to the poster (sounds confusing :) ). They are criminals by accessory whether they wanted to be or not. Since most of them are in their 20's there was no reason for them to not make it right by applying for citizenship. Instead Obama in a bid to destroy America and her freedoms gave them a free pass and compounded their crime by adding by adding a new crime which was DACA which even Obama said he did not have the authority to do but he committed the crime anyway.

Any illegal alien that passes our borders are criminals no matter if they contribute or not

If I said Obama was the most pro-LGBT president would you understand what I meant and agree or would you nonsensicallly reply "Obama may be pandering to LGBT people but he isn't one?"

LOL! Trump supports the sanctity of marriage, a child's right to live, the freedom to choose medical reproductive decisions (such as contraception), the right of citizens to be protected from immigrant crime, the freedom to choose health insurance plans, and a military focused on defending our country instead of conducting social experiments to appease LGBT supporters. Obama was pro-gay marriage, pro-abortion, pro-LGBT, pro-illegal immigration, and anti-choice (forced Christian employers to cover contraception in violation of Christian teaching). What has Obama done that is Christian?
Donald Trump and the sanctity of marriage... priceless

You sincere when you say Obama act of kindness was "bid to destroy America and her freedoms"?

His personal life decisions are irrelevant. Trump defended Christian marriage when he appointed a Supreme Court justice that will uphold the sanctity of marriage.

Pardon my confusion with the "immoral" posting.

By definition, all Daca recipients were under 15 when they arrived and under 31 when DACA was implemented in 2012. There was and is no path to citizenship for Daca recipients.

It sucks for the kids to suffer the displacement afterwards, but that anger shouldn't fall on Trump or any other member of government; their parents and/or relative(s) made that decision when they broke the law.
