  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Given that the Supreme Court has already legalized gay marriage, does "The Donald" really expect it to rule in his favor by banning transexuals in the military?

That was before he got to pick a judge. Now it's pretty much in his favor - if it comes to the Supreme Court, they'll likely side with him.

I think Trump lucked up a bit with the gay marriage issue. He's shown some tepid support for it in the past, but at this point, being for or against gay marriage is academic. It wouldve been interesting to see where he stood if he had to make actual decisions on the matter that could hurt his evangelical support.

You mean like heterosexual people do. NOT.

Who really needs to know the sexual proclivities of anybody else???

Kinda makes you wonder if they aren't advertising/trolling for more partners which in turn brings into question their state of mind???

From what I've seen, it is just the opposite. There is a lot of conversation, both men and women, about people they think are "hot," their sex life, etc. How graphic it gets obviously depends on the setting, but I've heard plenty of time, either directed at me or overhearing another conversation about some co-worker they think is good looking, etc. Once upon a time, gays felt forced to play along, to pretend that thought someone was really good looking, etc. Not to mention, since they would at least "appear" to be single, they'll get some well meaning co-worker wanting to set them up on dates, etc.

In most cases, when people come out as gay it is to let them know that they aren't interested in what members of the opposite sex is hot, they don't want to be set up with someone of the opposite sex, etc.
