Agree with ME. No Sir. I am noting but a messenger. I did not write the words in John 6:63...........
“The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.”

Jesus said that, not me!

Do you believe Jesus came in the flesh?

Isn't amazing that all those early Christians who learned the gospel from the apostles got it so wrong?

Hmmm......

Not even Martin Luther went as far as you:

Who, but the devil, has granted such license of wresting the words of the holy Scripture? Who ever read in the Scriptures, that my body is the same as the sign of my body? or, that is is the same as it signifies? What language in the world ever spoke so? It is only then the devil, that imposes upon us by these fanatical men. Not one of the Fathers of the Church, though so numerous, ever spoke as the Sacramentarians: not one of them ever said, It is only bread and wine; or, the body and blood of Christ is not there present.

Surely, it is not credible, nor possible, since they often speak, and repeat their sentiments, that they should never (if they thought so) not so much as once, say, or let slip these words: It is bread only; or the body of Christ is not there, especially it being of great importance, that men should not be deceived. Certainly, in so many Fathers, and in so many writings, the negative might at least be found in one of them, had they thought the body and blood of Christ were not really present: but they are all of them unanimous.”

Luther’s Collected Works, Wittenburg Edition, no. 7 p, 391

Maybe one day you will 'Truly' understand the real truths of the CC. Many don't either. Being a Catholic one can understand 100%

As I said, feel free to continue insisting I am in some kind of ignorance regarding Catholic doctrine. Your choice.

This was the time of passover. Jesus is our passover lamb.

What did the Jews do with the passover lamb?

The Passover was always a shadow of what was to come, what God had always promised. As Jesus said, the Scriptures point to Him. Types and shadows, prophecies of things to come.

Jesus is the ultimate and perfect sacrifice, once and for all.

Okay, then we agree here. Infants do not have the capacity to commit personal sin, so that establishes at least one exception. Now concerning the next exception. Since Jesus was born of a woman, was He born in sin, and if not then why not?

I mean no disrespect but do you not remember our discussion on this very question?????

NO Jesus was not born in Sin. He had no sin nature to be born with. He was incarnated with a God /divine nature.

I know what you are trying to work out but it does not work my friend. Jesus being born with a God nature from Mary does not make Mary sinless.

That kind of thinking would be the same as standing in your garage and calling yourself a car. It simply does not fly.

He was giving an illustration here. Read these verses in context. He was referring to the manna God had sent from Heaven to feed the Israelites while they wandered in the wilderness, and He contrasted that bread with Himself, emphasizing that He is the "true bread" who gives life.

That's 'your' interpretation!

The people ran away! Did Jesus shout and say stop I didn't mean it like you think?

They too misunderstood Him. People often misunderstood Jesus. We see this throughout the Gospels. He said many things that needed to be spiritually discerned. Even His disciples didn't always understand what He meant.

Yes, and like the passover lamb, we are instructed to eat his flesh. These are the words of Christ, I wouldn't dismiss them to follow some modern dogma.

From whom did you inherit your original sin?

Well, we can see this is not the case, Biblically. Jesus was right there with His disciples at the last supper. Did He rip off pieces of His flesh or give them His actual blood to drink?

Jesus is God and can be everywhere at the same time.

Quoting Augustine:

"How this ['And he was carried in his own hands'] should be understood literally of David, we cannot discover; but we can discover how it is meant of Christ. FOR CHRIST WAS CARRIED IN HIS OWN HANDS, WHEN, REFERRING TO HIS OWN BODY, HE SAID: 'THIS IS MY BODY.' FOR HE CARRIED THAT BODY IN HIS HANDS." (Psalms 33:1:10)

As much as I can appreciate the "Early Church Fathers", they did not write inspired Scripture. Error is still error, no matter how far back it may go.

A Catholic Bishop or Priest being celibate and not married is on the job description. They are not being forced to be a Bishop or a Priest.

Paul does not say a Bishop 'HAS' to be married!
