Aristarchus, Seleucus, Copernicus, Kepler and Galileo didn't have access to the information about our solar system that is now available to us here in the 21st century, but they did have access to enough information to see that it made better sense for the Sun rather than the Earth to be at the centre of the system, with all the planets revolving around it.

You didn't mention the Bible in post 1179, and I edited post 1180 to get back to the point that I was making, about Luther, Calvin and the Inquisition agreeing that the motion of the Earth around the Sun was contrary to the Bible, and Voliva saying the same thing about the sphericity of the Earth.

If the Bible reflects the OBSERVER's Point of View with regard to the sun it reflects a HUMAN POINT OF VIEW. Not God's point of view since God is outside of all of this.

Where the Bible speaks of the sun rising, setting, and going around the earth, it is the same language as if it was in today's newspaper saying the same thing.

The above verse is speaking of the end of the present 6th Day when ALL of the heavens and Earths are finished, which in Hebrew means brought to perfection.

You need a reason to claim it was not referring to the creation that was outlined in detail. Trying to make it a prophesy just to fit with a planet of the apes philosophy to fit some strange idea of what science requires is a great mistake.

Notice also that Heaven is filled with ALL of it's "host" which includes ALL Christians

Notice the sun and moon were the great lights in the heaven...not flying, non breathing people!

Not too bright? The bible never says that the worl was created with the sun the way it is, or that the sun now revolves around earth, does it?

Why did Wilbur Glenn Voliva insist on Biblical grounds that the Earth is flat, saying,
