God created science to run the universe

With a few exceptions obviously. He created a global Flood but then "cleaned up all the evidence" because of health reasons (a miracle). He created an old world but created it only 6000 years ago with age miraculously embedded in it so it wouldn't make Him dishonest. Oh yeah and the earth occasionally stops spinning (Miracle) or eclipses that last hours (miracle).

But other than that....

.In that case, your Christianity would be a religion ... not a relationship (with Jesus Christ).

Ahhh, clever! Good job! It's funny how you are allowed to be hyperlegalistic about terms but no one is ever allowed that same latitude! In fact you seem to get to create all manner of ex cathedra claims right and left resulting in you always being correct and, interestingly everyone else being wrong!

Yes, but neither are Christians given authority to completely ignore the historical, cultural, philosophical, literary, or inter-textual contexts (and paradigms) in which the Biblical texts are embedded and even enmeshed. The Bible didn't just drop out of the Blue-sky and make skid marks in front of the Church ....

Science is never given any authority to change what God says, ever.

The Bible is a work of man. Trying to say that it is God "saying" something is elevating it to the position of a God itself, and that is a violate of the Second Commandment.

Remember, it is not "science" changing it what "God said" it is another supposed work of God. If you believe that God made the Earth, and you believe that God cannot lie, then when the Earth itself keeps telling us in so many different ways that there was no flood, then you are essentially calling God a liar if you say that there was a flood.

That poses a bit of a problem for you.

AV, you know that for me to know for sure, I'd have to line up the folds on the last page and find out ... and for some reason (even when I was a kid), I always felt like I was doing wrong by bending something that what was in otherwise mint condition, even if it was MAD.
