I love all the scriptures here. And your Avatar name is beautiful. I"m welcoming you to this discussion.. remember you are entering into an existing conversation. From one person to another person.. rather than from one set of premises and discussions to another set of premises and discussions.. remember there is a person behind the texts.. that person is well loved by GOD and is doing HIS Work.

The last statement that you made makes no sense if you know the man like I do.

Being Built Up In The Lord.

To define this term--let's try this on for size--An advanced partnership with the Holy Spirit, where decisions are submitted to the partnership. The humanity is not extinguished, but enhanced by the flow of God's thoughts through that person's life.

God's supply of grace is experienced as additional love, acceptance, joy, peace and endurance as life events are softened by divine qualities. And one's true, divinely appointed purpose is increasingly obvious.

So how does one get pointed in this direction? First one has to desire it. Most don't.

Since there are so many well positioned people in this discussion, I look forward to reading your responses to this topic.

Here is something for you to consider at your leisure--I'm curious what you will make of this topic. Before you even watch it, here's the exercise -- is God in this? You may well disagree with some of the points being made. That's okay. That's not why it is being presented. We have to not deny the LORD when HE is active.. that's really the question at the bottom of this.

hahahaha! NOW THAT I don't mind. And I do agree with it. Here's my challenge which I will invite you into contemplate with me.

Ephesians 1:9-10 NIV
He made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

I bolded the text only to cut to the end..... How do i participate in His Will to in unity under Christ. You see even in this morning's dialogue what the challenge to unity is.

There is no doubt that PeaceJoyLove has an awesome relationship with our LORD. You can't quote scripture like that accurately without His touch on her life. And Alithis' street ministry is bearing a great harvest for the LORD, including healings and baptisms in the Spirit. YOu have not yet met Gideon--he's got an infant and a 7 year old to care for as well as being a small business owner. You can go back and read some of his past posts.. It's a long read but good. We're in the same family. On some level we need to honor God by honoring each other.

I just literally got out from underneath an elderly couples house from repairing their a/c without any cost to them (93° here today) does this qualify for works ...

Notice there's no question mark ... because it doesn't need one, and in this way I assume even the best about everyone, for to be it, is it.

To me, it is not about whether soemthing is wrong or right, its about love.

I don't wander between two opinions any longer, my eye is single in this one truth God is.

I like to look in his face as far as I can see, and the invitation to this for me (and all who will) is a door no man can shut ... but I won't explain that, because it becomes to big to fast.

I first viewed this video more than a year ago. At that time, I went and re-read scripture, finding Acts 2:42-43 that the signs and wonders were done through the Apostles and that the people were 'devoted to the Apostles teachings'.


EDIT: God is in ALL things...to work for His purpose...there is nothing that exists that has not come from Him. Isaiah 45:7

No one is able to come to Me unless the Father, the one having sent Me, draws ( drags ) him, and I will raise him up in the last day.

Faith - I believe the total word of God... "so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible."

The scriptures I have shared are real and experiential in my life that is hidden IN HIM. The promises contained within the covers of The Holy Bible regarding doing the will of The Father have come to pass and Peace, Joy and LOVE, overflow, always...just as promised in scripture.

I truly BELIEVED this:

2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Because HE calls all to be perfect and holy...1 Thess 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. And the promise that HE would do it by the power of HIS spirit, I believed it and it came to pass. That which I first HOPED for because of faith has become real and is my daily Life IN HIM.

What is the substance? All of those promises...I hoped for them...believed that the same spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the grave had the power to cause them (promises) to come to pass in me and HIS spirit would come/bring LIFE(abundantly). At first, they were not real and experiential...but by HIS spirit I could see them ahead. My faith (increased by HIM, faith to faith/glory to glory) grew as I walked in His Truth, believing all HE said could and would come to me (and all who believe HIS WORD is Truth.)

I take no thought for the morrow and his yoke is easy because I walk not by the weakness of the flesh, but by the Spirit of Christ...which is promised to all who know HIM. Believing in those promises is faith, anything less is unbelief. For with God ALL things are possible...with man they are impossible.

The battle of flesh and spirit within has ended, no longer double minded. My eye has become single...being made blind that I might see..

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.

3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

All these things are declared in scripture. I do not go beyond what it declares (the word of God.) Faith is believing it is true, else it will never become our experience/truth/reality.

This whole thing starts in the Book of Genesis, in a garden/ our story of the process and God's purpose for all.

The first commandment, "Thou shalt not eat...", which is a fast...Psalm 58

Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Revelation 12:22 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

HE has emptied "ME" and filled me with HIS fullness...just as promised and I believed/had faith to be what would happen BECAUSE I believed. That is the evidence of what FAITH will do...as declared in scriptures.
Ephesians 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

HIS love...1 Corinthians 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Denying it?
Yes...at times..not because I Deny it by saying so with words but because at times I care more for myself then I do for the lost and so pass up opportunity to heal the sick and preach this good news..for this tired excuse I must presently repent. But this is only denial of him in that I am not denying myself enough.
But all the fanciest sounding words I could come with are hot air without the action that is faith.
For if he has emptied ME of Me and filled me with him.
Then all of the time We would unfailingly be doing what he wills be done.not just talking about it with unbridled tongues.

No problem in passing by the video or the commenting on it.

What a great verse you quoted. Let's use it. Let's appeal to your own experiences because you clearly chose it because you had the Father draw you to Jesus. Going to your own life, you remember that sensation. Awesome!

Now, you are in an unique place because all of the people posting have all had that same drawing sensation. All of us know what that is. So often you are in a mixed group. Here we are with this as common ground.

The verse goes on to say "and I will raise him up on the last day.." There are benefits to belonging to God's family ahead of being raised up on the last day. One of them is what the Apostles Creed called "the communion of saints". I realize that this sensation is not often experienced. It is real. Take a moment to perceive how wondrous it is. We have been enjoying it for awhile now.

Me right? Naw, I have seen miracles that would draw praise to God from the rocks themselves. Providence, healing, protection, angels getting people out of cars about to explode into fire, felons saved and restored to God and their families, drug addicted people released to normal lives ...God is amazing!

I tend to be sent to God's sons and daughters who are in great storms in their lives. My understanding of the ministry God gave me is still evolving. Earlier in 2017, God used me in the first exorcism I was involved in. There are many ways I am still a student.

The main point from Act 2:42-43 was the people who were being healed were "devoted to the Apostles teachings" and we know they taught of Jesus Christ and faith. Jesus, when He healed always said "your faith has made you whole" and "go and sin no more."

I have no desire to contend, Torben. We all see from where we are at in the process.
