Yeah, I WISH the last time was as soon as 1999.
.... But, having a lot of pretty lady friends who appear to trust me is nothing to scoff at, either, in my opinion. I like to think i am still quite blessed overall when it comes to the interaction-with-that-fascinating-creature-known-as-the-fairer-sex game. ^-^

My friend and I had a long and detailed discussion about a trip of a lifetime, one that I thought she and I had a mutual understanding about and would do together.
Just this afternoon...we were talking about something completely different when she happened to let slip that she didn't want to go on any trip. I stopped dead and asked her if she meant the one trip we had planned, and if so, why. After several minutes of awkwardly trying to backpedal and make up pathetic excuses, she finally admitted her heart was never in the trip to begin with and that she only went along with it to make me happy. And now that she has admitted to it, she really does NOT want to go through with it.
This is actually the second time she has lied to me...the first time, I let her back into my life (after having some alone time for quite a while) and we were pretty cool for the past several months. Now this happens....

For me, in 1999 at this small downtown gathering to celebrate the incoming new millennium, I briefly interacted with a former female classmate whom at the time I had thought was cute and play-flirted with when i shared a class with her at school. And she said - in a somewhat pleased-sounding tone - when we had met again at the gathering that she remembered me (while at the same time remarking to my obnoxious friend nearby who also sat near her in class and instead hit on her friend in a more crude way, that she not-so-pleasantly remembered him as well).
And for a hopeless (and simultaneously, oddly proud of it as well) virgin like myself who actually kind of likes getting friend-zoned by the ladies, just that much was actually like getting to second base in the life of this knight. ^-^
