Oh I need to find a good series! I miss being stuck in a book.
Hope you made it in time!
I ended up thinking it wasn't worth it to drive so far to get it since I didn't have any other errands I really needed to do. But... I just found out my university has an ebook of it! So I checked it out and I don't even have to wait or bother going out to get it. :D
This is where I'd just go to Barnes and pull out the ole bank card :yum:
I really don't do that. I see no point in buying books randomly unless it is a favorite or something I could read again and again. I did buy a series a few months ago so I could share it with a friend and she wouldn't have to go out and get it. But it was something I thought she'd like; plus it was only $13 for the series. That was a very rare occurrence for me. I see no point in spending money when I can get books for free. Plus... Barnes and Nobles is way overpriced. It is rarely worth it to shop there. ^_^

also... I have no money.

My friend and I would always go to Borders near the mall by where he lives. We'd spend 30 minutes browsing for books or magazines, spend an hour at the table drinking iced coffees and looking through everything, then we leave. We were always too broke to buy anything haha. Now the old Borders building is a comic book store.

I enjoy browsing bookstores as well. :) I think I've only bought something once. It might have been called Borders too at the mall. I can't remember now.. All I know is it went out of business as well as every single one of the other bookstores in the area (except Barnes and Nobles... which remains overpriced and mostly empty of people). Barnes and Nobles is okay to browse in... but I guess I like the smaller stores more. Used library bookstores sometimes have great books that are basically new.. for a few bucks or under. Those are the best. :D

I did order a book that was out of print from Barnes and Nobles once... I used a gift card and cash it was so expensive.... ^_^

The biggest bookstore I've ever seen was in Portand, OR. I so badly wished we could've stopped and looked around. I think it was mostly a used bookstore, but I don't remember. I need to go back to Portland soon. One of my most favorite cities.

We used to have a book store in my town. It was eventually replaced by a lingerie store.

Let that sink in.

You must live in one heck of a small town to only ever have had a single bookstore.

It's a hick town with a population of about 13,000 people. It's located in the middle of nowhere and you need a truck or an SUV to get through the rough terrain. The only things of value here is a military aircraft base and a bunch of oil fields.

I lived in a small town like that.

When I first moved into the neighborhood it was pretty much just houses and dirt.. the grass wasn't even planted yet. I think the town has tripled in size since then though..

What's interesting is that it used to be three even smaller towns that algamated when I was in elementary school. They consisted of a town near a lake, a town with many stores just minutes worth of driving away, and an aircraft base.

We had nothing fancy like an aircraft base... we were surrounded by a lot of farm land.

Honestly it was a good place to grow up as a kid. Forests everywhere too.

Cattle ranches and forests too. People have said that my town is a great place to raise kids, but terrible for teenagers and adults since there's almost nothing to do. It would explain why so many people in my town become alcoholics.

It's depressing watching people on Youtube who just play video games for a living.. making millions of dollars.. most of these people are boring and nothing special.

I don't think we've ever had a bookstore in my town. I have thought about how cool it would be to open a bookstore here.. however I don't think it would survive. We have two or three libraries though. And a grocery store! We aren't really small anymore though.

PewDiePie is the worst. I find him far more obnoxious than entertaining. Game Grumps used to be pretty entertaining to me but the novelty soon wore off.

Thankfully we have alternatives like channels that specialize in staged pranks... or reactions to other people's content... or daily Video Blogs from people attempting to live interesting lives... or making top ten lists of whatever...

Ah forget it. It was like the old days where it was all Naruto Linkin Park AMV's, compilations of Family Guy clips, and teenagers goofing around with video cameras. Only difference is that it's a lot more professional looking now.

Yeah.. I know of some top 10 channels that use Microsoft Sam for their voice.. yet probably easily pull 200k a year from it. Most of the lists are flat out dishonest and full of wikipedia glances.

Yeah back before people did it for the almighty dollar.
