Not sure what it is you're trying to convey here.

How about you answered to my post above?
And here I thought I did answer it.

As you said yourself:
"But praying for guidance doesn't mean a thing if you don't follow the Holy Spirit, believe, and do good things to show your devotion. And as I already pointed out, the most important is to love God and Humans."

You don't show your belief, you don't show your devotion, you most certainly don't show your love of humans when each time another human opens up to you and tells you something about themselves, you turn around and respond: "I don't believe you."

You don't show your love of humans when you ignore them, continue to spread falsehoods about them, deny them, debase them.

You don't show your love of humans when you hold yourself as a measure and mirror to every other human being.

And if you don't show the tiniest spark of love for humans - beings who definitly exist, who live next to you, who have to listen to what you say about them - how can you claim to "love God"?

Firstly, all of us are just human beings:)

Secondly, as I specified earlier, Christians strife for perfection, so sorry if I have offended in any way; my offences are just the effects of my failure to live up to the ideal of Christ. We Christians are ready to ask for forgiveness.

In a word -- if you ask about this human -- I'm just a sinner, and am more than aware of it.

Having said that, it is clear that Christians have a greater sense of self-awareness than the atheists, which is good; our anchorage is Christ.
(the Hinduists would call it Atman. We Christians are always meditating on Christ, and the Hinduists always breath in the rhythm of the Ohm. Sorry if by any case you could say I'm a bit of a dummy regarding Hinduism.)

I really don't know what to say to that.

There have been a number of posts exchanged with you now - by me and others - where you were repeatedly told: no, what you say about us is false. This argument that you make is wrong. Here is a correction. And you still keep going on: "I don't believe you."

You are called out to this constant behaviour and you go "Huh, what did I do? I don't get it? What are you talking about."

Then you take the classic christian approach of "Well, I am not perfect, I am just a sinner"... without giving any hint that you acknowledge your failures and will try to correct them... and on top of all that giant demonstration of lack of self-awareness, you have the gall to tell us how much better at self-awareness you Christians are.

Classic. Comedy. Gold.

A picture is worth a thousand words. And what this picture is telling me is that people who buy the Bible are one with God: they are in Him and He is in them. This is what I understand. You atheists are outnumbered by a great deal, and no definitions of atheism will ever change this I hope.

A great deal of those bibles are bought up by churches, seminaries and organizations like the gideons who then give them away for free.

Likewise, I have a bible and I'm an atheist.

I hope you don't really think that book sales equal truth. A lot of people can be convinced of false ideas for poor reasons.

If you want further proof, there's probably a couple billion copies of the Qur'an floating around too.

Long road to get there but finally, my point is made.

Simply labeling someone as such doesn't make it so.

Are we having "fun" yet? :)

Well, I am enjoying the fact that I argued a point that you haven't been able to refute, and it appears you are essentially conceding the point by refusing to address it.

So yes, it is fun to win a debate.

Atheists don't read the Bible nor they visit church. If we rightly consider that there is a gap between the elderly generation and the younger generation, that can only be bridged by something they share (the Bible), being an atheist makes no sence, since the gap remains there. Talking about religion, visiting the churches and temples is what makes the ''universal'' Christian family, something which is to my mind very necessary these days.

I've read the bible cover to cover, and I'm an atheist. In fact, pretty well any study I've seen consistently show that Atheists, followed up by Mormons have the highest levels of biblical knowledge.

I have also been to church in the past, I was even active in the youth group when I was a teenager for a bit. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit, and I have nothing against the people there. I just think their beliefs are false.

Oh! I think I get it. In response to my view that you do not understand atheism and do not care to learn you are simply pointing out that my view is correct and wanted to add in an appeal to popularity fallacy?

You already (twice) excluded the possiblity of an atheist reading the Bible at all!
Which is odd when I know at one atheist who has read the Bible(KJV1611).

Monty Pythonists are the epitome of atheism and nihilism. The Life of Brian means ridiculizing and unsuccessfully trying to reduce Christianity to atheism. Very perfide, if you ask me.

The hilarious thing is you don't get what that movie is all about.

It's not ridiculing Christianity per se, in fact they purposefully put that scene with Jesus giving the sermon on the mount in there to show they weren't directly attacking Christianity, and showed Jesus in a respectful way.

The movie lampoons superstitious thinking, believing things without evidence or on poor evidence, and the idea of faith. It also ridicules the "sheep" mentality many religions encourage and a reluctance to think for yourself along with people dividing themselves over petty squabbles over basically nothing.

Perhaps if you understood the point of the movie, you may have learned something from it.

Yes you are.

Someone who could not parse that sentence would not display the intelligence you so obviously do.

Look, I know you and I don't see eye to eye but your posting style indicates to me that you are NOT stupid.

Don't play dumb. It's beneath you.

my offences are just the effects of my failure to live up to the ideal of Christ.
Not true.

The offence is not taken because you fail to live up to Christ's example.

Think about it. If that were the case atheists would be offended by every single person on the planet.

The offence come from the way you mischaracterise people you have not met and know nothing about: how is it possible that this surprises you?

Who would have thought it, I'M A CHRISTIAN!

I'm probably a better Christian than most because I have more bibles! So I must be one with God more than the average bear!

Of course following the reasoning I'm also a Communist, a Nazi a Muslim and whatever my copies of The Prince and The Discourses makes me.

Or I might just be reasonably well read, something frighteningly few Christians seem to be.

"The kindest acts of the wicked are cruel." Everyone who's name is not in the book of life is facing the lake of fire which is the place of the wicked.
I'm sure you can imagine why that threat does not affect a non Christian.
