I do agree. I didn't write about stewardship, though. I wrote about our reaction to being afraid. I realize it can be read as ambiguous, though.
Man's contribution to greenhouse gasses are negligible, and without those gases we'd be incinerated. I have no problem with investigating all energy sources, but for the time being, nothing can replace oil.

Oh, you're one of those. Not into the whole pronen science thing? More than that one of those who substitutes politics for science? P think it's better to substitute religion for science myself. More character building IMHO.
I grew up in the 60's and early 70's when we were told a global freeze was coming. Then it was global warming that was going to kill us all. After 17 years of no warming, it's climate change. The evidence is so unconvincing that researchers conspired to fabricate the evidence. Why? It's a multi-billion dollar industry.
-_- even if global warming isn't a thing, it's still valid to increase our use of renewable energy sources over ones which will run out. Burning coal and gasoline still makes the air quality drop, which has resulted in an increase in asthma attacks, especially in children.
The Cook study is just one study and the Forbes website is not a peer reviewed scientific journal. The majority of peer reviewed scientific journals agree that CO2 emissions increase global warming.
But just as we don't do so well in elevated oxygen environments (prolonged, it can make people act drunk, or worse, hence one of the reasons oxygen tanks don't contain pure oxygen), too much CO2 hurts plant life as well. It can cause them to grow larger, but with less density to their nutrients and lower quality growth.
So as Earth increases its carbon dioxide in its atmosphere plants are in danger of gradually becoming sickly? Wow! I would have expected the opposite.
The scientists testing how higher CO2 affects plants weren't expecting the results they got either, large, nasty looking plants with yellowed leaves.
