I read this in "The Broken Way" this morning and it has stuck with me through the day so far.

So true! I have recently seen this in my own life and the peace that it gives is truly amazing.

Indeed! Some of the most amazing moments in my life have also been during some of the most difficult. I have often seen most clearly God's faithfulness and grace in the midst of the storms.

Today marks one year since my grandma died. I thought it was tomorrow, but it's actually today. She's missed so much!!

I truly wish I could share that perspective. All I see during those times are the way things could have been if God was more generous and merciful to me like He was to most of my tormentors.

Not a problem. You got a painful reminder that you lost someone very dear to you and I think that's enough to warrant some of these thoughts. I know a person who hates Christmas because she had so many people close to her die during those times so you aren't alone in this.

I still don't understand the foolish idea put out by feminists that female attractiveness is because of things like patriarchy yet are totally silent when it comes to how narrow male attractiveness generally is.

Study biology/evolution. There are plenty of rational things we hate about how many women look. Women are fine with there being a looks hierarchy when it comes to men, and the same is true for a look hierarchy when it comes to women. You're not all equally beautiful. Lol.

Women like v-shapes and tallness and men like hour glass shapes and youthfulness.

I've pretty much lost faith in this world. People think they're making it a better place but for who? All I see happening is people trying to turn the tables of inequality while portraying themselves as benevolent.

My advice for the world: be beneficial, not superficial. If people actually put their money where their mouths are, this world wouldn't be as crappy as it is now.

Yeah but humans can still make it more fair rather than doing nothing. When it comes to looks biology gives us plenty to abhor about each gender. Growing up plenty of women have rejected me for my lack of height, as I get older I'll be doing the same for women's lack of youthfulness. That's equality right there and I expect to be able to be as coarse about it as women are about short men.

Agreed- body positivity needs to extend to all. I'm doing my part to show love to the short man club (conversely, he's doing a good job of showing love to the awkward tall girls community)
