I know that. But the fact is that these could be relatively small compared to ones one or two thousand years ago.

I read other articles on this, and there seems to be an effort to tie this to "global warming" (meanin the man-made kind), even though there's no evidence for this.

I never said that it's because of global warming.

What I said is that if the ice shelf disintegrates, that would be a very bad thing, no matter if climate change is true or not.
