I also think that he has had to refuse the advances of many women over the course of his life, so he may indeed feel a bit entitled, but not to take unwanted liberties.

Yeah, you and I see that entirely differently. Honestly, I'm not sure how you can see it the way that you do, but I understand you interpret it that way so it is what it is. To me it's crystal clear.

There have probably been people in positions of great authority in the past, even in elected positions in the federal government of the United States of America, who were as bad as Donald Trump.

But the news media did not investigate or report it.

The way that I understand history, it all started in 1987 or 1988 when members of the news media decided to probe into the private life of Gary Hart and his time on the Monkey Business. Hart getting the Democratic party's presidential nomination was a lock, but the scandal destroyed his candidacy.

Clinton-Lewinsky probably never would have been in the news if it was before Gary Hart, the way that I understand it.

But now apparently that is how journalism works. Spend 90% of newsprint and airtime on the private lives and personal behavior of politicians and spend very little on things like their ability to lead, ability to govern, policy positions, etc.

If, say, Theodore Roosevelt or John F. Kennedy had ran for office in today's media environment we probably would not think very highly of them now.

Apparently it is no longer about the best candidates rising to the top. Now it is about surviving a political environment where the object is to look like the least evil of many evil people.

Many construction companies have established policies prohibiting their workers from suggestive catcalling and other unacceptable behavior. There have been ongoing construction projects on my campus, and a friend works on one of them. He said that before he was hired he had to submit forms agreeing to comply with company policy, which specifically forbids all forms of sexual harassment, including making inappropriate comments to other members of the crew or to the public. Professionalism is expected.

Billy Bush has been suspended by NBC, with the senior vice president in charge of “Today,” writing in a memo to staffers" “Let me be clear -- there is simply no excuse for Billy's language and behavior on that tape, NBC has decided to suspend Billy, pending further review of this matter.”

The only way to suspend Trump is to refuse to vote for him.

Let's not pretend that this is some conspiracy...Trump merely forgot he was still wearing a mic and being recorded. He's an idiot...so it's not a stretch to admit that's what happened.

What do you mean "why"? He's running for president! It's a pretty well known fact at this point that when someone runs for president, they're going to have every single piece of dirt in their past brought to light. When someone is relatively clean...the opposing party will generally just make things up.

The Dems aren't trying to make Trump "look like" a sexual pig...he is a sexual pig. It's fairly obvious to anyone with eyes, ears and half a brain that this man regards women as sex objects and nothing more. Even his comments regarding his daughter show that she's nothing more than a sex object in his eyes. If a woman is unattractive to him, then she gets insulted about her weight, figure, or general appearance. Again, you'd only need to look at his comments toward women or about them to see this...but even if you didn't hear his comments, you'd only need to look at the fact that he trades in his wife for a younger one whenever they get old. He even fully admitted to trying to cheat on his wife with a married woman...there's no attempt here at making him "look like" anything...he's a disgusting, shallow, misogynistic pig. I haven't looked into the issue of "what Hillary did when she was a defense attorney"...because, frankly, she was a defense attorney! Maybe you're not aware of this, but attorneys take an oath and are required by law to defend their clients to the best of their abilities. It doesn't matter if the attorney believes their client is guilty or not...they are entitled to the best defense the attorney can provide. It's not a reflection of Hillary as a person at all...other than to say that she has the integrity to execute the duties of her office to the best of her ability regardless of her personal feelings on the matter at hand.

There's nothing "clandestine" about those recordings..."hot mic" incidents happen all the time with public figures. He's an idiot who forgot his mic was on and his casual regard towards sexual assault and harassment show that he is, in fact, a disgusting excuse for a human being.

Keep in mind though, that I seriously doubt that recording is the only time in Trump's past that he made incredibly stupid and offensive comments. If this was the only thing the Dems had on him, they'd have waited until later to release it. Now they're just waiting for the buzz regarding this audio to die down before they release the next thing.
