What about Trump's crudeness about women?

By that measure democracy has been subverted for quite some time now. What's another four years.

Time enough for a nuclear world war, and millions dead, and civilisation set back a thousand years. Trump doesn't seem to get the weight of that kind of responsibility; he just wants attention, like any other spoiled brat.

Cheers, Strivax.

I strongly suspect that this is all academic anyway; Clinton is fairly certain to win because she has alienated less of her core vote than Trump has, and because she has more appeal to the swing voters.

New Yorker's have raised it to an art form. Women get suggestive catcalls around every construction site, not just Trump's. ;)
Do you see any difference between a cat call and the things Trump claimed he did?
I'm more concerned about my city not fixing our driveway (it's sinking at the gutter) than I am about the election: "All politics are local".

View attachment 183781

You can see that I've made a patch already but the area is still sinking. Vehicles 'nosedive' and scrape when entering or leaving. I notified the city about this a year ago. I'm going to add more patch to it this week. (The photo doesn't show how bad it is.)

This is a failure, on a colossal level, by my city streets department. ^_^
And who Caused the end of your driveway to sink? ;)

I feel sad for Republicans that will continue to vote for Donald, even when many of them called for Bill Clinton's impeachment because of his philandering while in the White House.
Mark
Please stop lying. It diminishes your argument.
Bill Clinton was NOT impeached for philandering. You know it and I know it. You're repeating a lie.
Bill Clinton was being sued for sexual harassment. Part of that lawsuit was a pattern of using power to intimidate women into yielding to him.
Monica Lewinski was an intern. Preying on subordinates is the mark of a predator. It was confirmation of Jones' case.
Bill Clinton was found to have committed 11 felonies by a special prosecutor. The Republican House selected two which were incredibly obvious; lying under oath (perjury) and obstruction of justice. Clinton was impeached for these felonies. There was no denying he had committed these felonies. However, the corrupt Democrat controlled Senate refused to uphold the law and declared him "not guilty" even though he would later admit the crimes top escape prosecution. The Clinton impeachment demonstrated that the Democratic Party cared more about maintaining power than the rule of law or equal protection under the law.
Hillary Clinton also lied under oath and obstructed justice by destroying evidence under subpoena. Once again, Democrats care nothing for the rule of law. Once more, Democrats ignore the criminal actions of the Clintons hoping for political power.

Democrats can't pretend to take the high ground. They are wallowing in filth with the Clintons.

Here's hoping. I sit this out without the ability to influence in either way, being a UK citizen without a vote. But I support Hilary Clinton because I once heard a speech where she said: 'Dare to care!'. If we all dared to care, I think the world would be a better place.

Cheers, Strivax.

Does not make it right. As men without Christ I expect not even they talk like Trump did 11 years ago. I still am voting for him. I hope he has really changed.
He's saying and acting the exact same two-faced person to women's faces he has always been. However, too many of us have learned the very hard way that abusive actions ALWAYS speak louder than words, regardless of apologies galore. If anything he's been consistent in his demeaning of women through his entire life. So no, he isn't going to change anytime soon, because there is no reason to. He's extremely wealthy which guarantees women with beauty, ulterior motives and no inner character will always flock to him. A perfect setup for someone with a sexual predator mindset. No wonder he bought the rights to the Miss Universe pageant. It's his own personal guaranteed fresh supply. If he was Joe the Plumber next door, would all these beautiful women he has access to be flattering him? Even Trump knows they wouldn't give him so much as a first look. No wonder he wants to hold onto as much of his wealth at all costs.

I wouldn't be holding my breath if I were you.

Even if I were able to vote I would not support Clinton either - these modern politicians are so often part of a licentious clique with whom I share no common values.

For what's it's worth Trump has come this far by actually saying what many are thinking. Both men and women visually and verbally 'undress' each other all the time. ^_^ I would be more worried (for his election chances) if he said those things about men.

I don't think even as a teenager I ever thought about putting the moves on a married woman. Or just walking up to a woman and kissing her (or grabbing her genitals) without some sort of consent.

Personally, I find those sorts of people to be the lowest of scum.

Agree or disagree?

I will repeat this again. I will not defend trump, I do not like him at all. he has bought with his own money the position of republican runner for president. I hate that!!

I can not vote for the Democratic ticket under any circumstance, because they support abortion, same sex marriage, LGBT and homosexuality. I find Clinton worse than Trump, she let men die because she ignored 600 cry's for help.

Neither one of these rich self serving people are what our country needs. I think this is the very worst choices we have ever had.

Please, please, we each have to seek the Lord for direction. That I I can say or do.

So we poor manipulators behind the scenes must make do with the best materials that democracy throws up (sic). The world of 'real-politik' must meet real politics, at some point, or we are poor neutered eunuchs on the world stage, devoid of relevance to the world we want for ourselves, and the next generation, and the following.

Cheers, Strivax.

From Politico.com:

"Trump buoyed Republican LGBT activists with his defense of the gay community in the wake of Sunday’s mass murder at a gay nightclub. “Ask yourself, who is really the friend of women and the LGBT community. Donald Trump with his actions, or Hillary Clinton with her words?” he said Monday, in a speech condemning the Orlando attack, which left 49 club-goers dead at the hands of a man who pledged allegiance to the Islamic State and other terrorist groups. Trump followed it up with a tweet Tuesday in which he thanked LGBT Americans and said: 'I will fight for you.'"

And I respect your outlook for what it is. I was just suggesting to you that your one bastion of defense for Trump also has no legs. I'm thinking of writing in Reagan's name, myself. Or maybe Abe Lincoln's. Either one serves the purpose.

I, too, don't believe either of them have earned the right in any way, shape, or form to deserve to occupy that Oval Office chair, for what its worth. Never have I seen so much lack of integrity being mirrored in both candidates in an election. One has always outshone the other in some avenue. Not this time. I honestly think the Lord is showing believers, its time to consciously start separating yourselves from this imploding world and its human-based systems, or you will go down with it. Patriotism is NOT what God values most. Love is. For Him, for ourselves, and for our neighbors. There will be no voting or national patriotism in heaven--politics will be useless. I have to laugh whenever I see so much passion being spent on contending for or against either candidate (including laughing at myself), knowing some day, sooner or later, precisely this same system of the very best government in the world is STILL going to force us to deny our Lord Jesus Christ or have our head cut off! Why are we defending it so strongly?? It will turn and murder us without thought some day, for all the good we tried to do to keep it afloat. When it's always been in the gutter, as all human-based governments have been. Our perspective has been skewed for a very long time. God is calling us to start packing up to leave Egypt for our true home, because there can be only one Governor who rules justly and perfectly, with LOVE as the true reality.

Thanks for asking for more details so you can make an informed opinion (I jest of course, the sarcasm is noted).

About two years ago the city dug up the whole intersection because of a huge water main break. The backfill they used is sinking, not just my driveway but a much larger area around it. I'm only concerned about the damage done to cars as they enter and leave the driveway.

I had called the city about two problems; one, the driveway; the other a traffic sign that had broken off at ground level. They fixed the sign within a week.

Actually I think you are both correct.
The Republicans started the impeachment investigation and hearings based on his philandering. During the hearings he committed perjury and was impeached by the House for perjury and obstruction.

So the Republicans in Congress were wanting to impeach Clinton for philandering and SOME Republicans are now willing to elect a self-proclaimed philander who claims he used his position and money to use women.
So whatever it takes to get and keep a Republican in the White House is fair game. The Democrats are the same and it better be the one the DNC wants in there; we now know how Sanders was treated.

If many men are actually thinking that they want to go up and "grab her by the (crude genital reference)" then perhaps concerns about a rape culture aren't overstated at all.

It isn't the language that bothers me at all. I do hear that among many of my friends and coworkers. It's the telling someone else that he is entitled to sexually assault women. I don't hear that from men I know.

This needs clarification. I thought he said "I'll bet if....." not "I want to....". I also missed the part where he stated clearly that he was entitled to sexually assault women. Are you familiar with the "Four F Club"? It's as familiar to boys as the "Nantucket" limerick.

Yup, they need to fix what they didn't do correctly.

Sorry, I missed your sarcasm, I should have known.

They won't fix it, that's why I'm going to dump more patch into it.
