I have so much to be thankful for, starting with the fact that I woke up 2 hours later than normal. Simple pleasures my friends, simple pleasures.

I was going to make a pumpkin pie yesterday but the can we had was expired. My mom suggested that she could make sweet potato pie since she has some, but i prefer pumpkin. Perhaps I'll buy a fresh one to make today.

Yeah I think I will go buy pie filling and make a pumpkin pie to surprise my mom with, I haven't made pie crust in years so hopefully I don't mess it up.
Sweet potato pie can be very similar to pumpkin. It can probably end up tasting about the same and similar texture too. But... i don't like sweet potato.

And it's good to know about sweet potato pie. I like sweet potato as a rule, so I think I would give it a try if someone offered it. I don't know that I would try making it myself though haha.

Just the word "curd" alone turns my stomach.

That's odd, before I knew poutine was even a word.... I thought it was moose meat pancakes covered in maple.

Poutine just looks like chips covered in gravy.
Brits have chips with curry sauce and mushy peas.
In nz we have battered fish with our chips.
In australia its crumbed fish.
