Spirit and soul are the same thing, but you can believe what you like. What are you manifesting?

The Bible says nothing about a "spirit of Jezebel". Jezebel was a manipulative and controlling woman who engaged in immorality, idolatry, false teaching and unrepentant sin. But Jezebel is not a "spirit" that can possess you.

Where are you getting your teaching from?

You have obviously never had a demon say through you to your Christian mother "hey I'm Jezebel, I worship Satan and no I won't leave this body'.

My pastor is phoning tomorrow and we are going to talk over some options.

You're right. I haven't. But personally, I would suggest a psychological assessment after you see your pastor. Some people who have mental illness think certain "manifestations" are spiritual messages - some think they are from God, others the devil, others the FBI, etc. Can't hurt to see both a pastor and a psychiatrist for assessment.

I am already seeing a therapist. They can only help with the mental side of things. I've been battling Jezebel for six months now without realising. She's nearly undetectable and a profuse liar. She convinced my entire family I was set free during my conversion. I was involved in the occult, that's how I got into this mess and why I know it's real. Now I realised she never left. Just been hiding. I am going to be delivered of this thing no matter what it takes. I repented of energy healing. I guess the Christian equivalent is speaking in tongues. I will do that instead.

Does your therapist know about your "Jezebel"?

Thankfully I have a lot of Christian support around me in real life but I feel sorry for anyone who really was struggling with demons alone and you just implied they were mentally ill. You may not believe it but this sort of stuff goes on and people need serious help.

wise decision; but don't forget to align the words you speak that you do understand with His words of life and peace. follow Jesus' example, and tell ALL the demons to shut up and get of of your life - then when those thoughts and feelings that you associate with demonic influence come, push them out of your mind with praise

Psa 8:2 KJV
(2) Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

Mat 12:35-37 KJV
(35) A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
(36) But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
(37) For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

never say again that you struggle with demons because you were involved in then occult; all of that passed away when you received spiritual rebirth and became a new creature

2Co 5:14-17 KJV
(14) For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
(15) And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
(16) Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
(17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

In case you missed it, I did say that you should get a psych assessment in addition to seeing your pastor. I also think it is important for your therapist to know about the spiritual aspect of your issues. The reason I say these things is that issues like this are interconnected, just like you can't divorce the biological aspect of mental illness from the psychosocial experience of the mental illness. There are four parts that are interconnected and can't be teased apart so easily: biological, psychological, social, and spiritual. Because you are seeing a therapist, it is important that s/he knows about the spiritual aspect. Oftentimes, this is left out of treatment but it should be included. I never said I don't believe this stuff. That is your assumption. I absolutely do, which is why I made the suggestions I did.

A bit about my story, I was delivered from new age stuff, channeling and psychic healing because it really messed with me. But I've been so hurt by the demonic oppression I went through that I am on medication, and the thing is long story short I just wanted healing. I thought by becoming a Christian it'd all go away. It didn't. And my conversion was real, I experienced Jesus and the Holy Spirit and the Father, they were very real, I don't doubt that. For a long time I didn't touch energy healing. But now I've been asking myself "where is God now?" Even though I pray for healing all the time it never comes. An energy healer looked at me psychically a little while back (I didn't ask her to), and she said my soul is fractured and offered to heal it for me. I declined on advice from a Christian friend, but I was very concerned that she could even see this psychically. I thought I was protected by the blood of Jesus from so called psychic familiar spirits. Not so. I do have a fractured soul because I have CPTSD and MPD, and I have had trouble with multiple identity disorder.

TLDR; Basically I'm a mess mentally/emotionally/physically and I decided to try and do basic energy healing again on myself to help but just now I had an episode all of a sudden where I was absolutely wracked with guilt and felt like I couldn't forgive myself. Then as soon as the episode started it passed and I wonder if it wasn't part of my MPD.
I repented but I question myself should I continue (did it really help release my pain, or did I just make matters worse?), or should I stop instead. I just wanted to be whole and well.

Thanks. I can provide more details if necessary.
Hi; it's good to look prayerfully at the Scriptures for peace of mind; good to keep up a daily Bible reading habit. John 14.1-27 is a great, comforting passage, as is Psalm 46; Philippians 4.8 is all about marshalling our thoughts in a God-honoring way.

Thank you to everyone else who replied, though I don't have time to reply to you all individually. My mum and I are battling this everyday with prayer and I've repented for allowing a lot of new age things to creep back into my mind. That didn't open the door to possession but rather Jezebel has been there from the beginning infecting my mind. I am taking this Christianity thing a lot more seriously now. I would appreciate some prayers.

Christians are indwelt by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9-11; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19). Surely the Holy Spirit would not allow a demon to possess the same person He is indwelling. It is unthinkable that God would allow one of His children, whom He purchased with the blood of Christ (1 Peter 1:18-19) and made into a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), to be possessed and controlled by a demon. Yes, as believers, we wage war with Satan and his demons, but not from within ourselves.

I also encourage you to read "Victory Over the Darkness" "The Bondage Breaker" and "Steps to Freedom in Christ."

An update - my Pastor rang and she said yes Christians can be possessed, and I'm going over her house tomorrow to be ministered to. Hopefully I'll be rid of this demon once and for all.
Please let us know how it works out.

I would advise against energy healing as it can be really dangerous. My sister got into the sort and she ended up becoming demonically oppressed if not demonically possessed. She had witches and spirits contacting her all the time ....it got really bad and she had to seek deliverance and it was a while before she was totally free. She was involved in reiki.

Well my pastors were very good about it. I had the spirit of Jezebel, fear, rejection, and a familiar spirit that had been with me all my life. They said demons are legalistic so they focused on getting me to repent, renounce the demons, and then declaring my freedom. I had done this a lot of times on my own but maybe with their greater authority the demons actually listened. They didn't manifest, my pastors didn't let them. They just commanded them to leave after the contracts had been broken and they left just like that. No fuss, no screaming. I felt totally empty, and then the Holy Spirit just flooded me. Incredible. I went home feeling free, feeling the presence of God, and feeling like a new creation. Easiest deliverance ever.

Interesting verse:

"Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils." 1 Corinthians 10.21

I have heard such non-sense. Remember, like their leader - demons lie about everything.

I question that. In the gospels, every time a demon detached from someone, there was some kind of manifestation. The Lord let that happen. We should not be stopping it either; IMO.

But the TRUE test of deliverance is a changed life - not just a feeling or temporary boost - but an ongoing change of attitude and action that is more like Messiah and it LASTS. Permanent.
