he's absolutely right!
something very similar has happened before in history---several times as a matter of fact.
there was the closing , looting, usurpation, and destruction of Catholic Parishes in England during the reign of Henry VI, the uprising of the Catholic French in protest of the Citizen revolution against their king, the Crusades when England invaded the Middle East to protect Christians and pilgrims to the holy places there, etc.

Hillary Clinton (Obama's third term) would result in more judges that always decide against Christians, and it would kill the Pro-Life movement. All we would be able to do if she gets elected is pray for Jesus' Second Coming to happen soon.

When it is asked "Why don't people take Christians seriously?", a link to the article in the OP is all the response that's needed. My Lord, what a load of fear-mongering nonsense. There are a lot of people who want to brand Christians as paranoid lunatics. We don't have to do it for them.

a notation to the board members and whomever may read this. When the above poster makes a collective statement about Christians using the pronoun 'we' he does not speak for me.

I don't have to speak for you, you're speaking for yourself. You'all certainly find plenty of like-minded rah-rahs in your corner encouraging you to spread this sort of....stuff. I suspect that you sincerely think that it is both true and helpful. Unfortunately, it is not true and is only contributing to the continued acceleration of the notion that Christians are little more than dishonest, superstitious people completely detatched from reality. I don't believe that, but a lot of people do and with evidence like you're sharing it's hard to blame them. Christians can choose to live lives of service demonstrating that they sincerely believe in Christ and live their neighbors as themselves as He commands, or they can spread this sort of stuff and see how that goes. I understand how tempting it ease to choose the easy path, the wide gate, the method that blames outsiders rather than self and peers for the decline of Christianity. I really do. I also think it is entirely self-destructive and demonstrates something rather opposite of what Christians are called to.

President Obama actively tried to force Catholic instutions to perform and taxpayer fund abortions. This is not a secret, this is not made up. There are supreme court justices who admit they want rewrite the constitution in light of the current day and current 'enlightentment'. This isn't fantasy, it's a fact. People who refer to his as fear mongering are livning in denial

Every President of your lifetime has overseen a government that provided taxpayer funded abortions via government-provided contraceptives and I never heard a complaint about it. You're being used. By all means, oppose unjust legislation and fight for the unborn and the disadvantaged, but don't buy into this bizarre nonsense.

Is this guy on drugs ?

Doubtful. He is shrewd enough to know how to cultivate fear and manipulate weak-minded individuals into following him. Typical politics. 10 years ago I would have said that such behavior was not typical of Christians, or that at the very least, Christians didn't generally fall for such ploys. I wish I could tell you what happened.

It's real simple really.

It's became "politically correct" to uphold Christian values.

Then "political correctness" became the bugaboo of the political right.

So suddenly things like empathy, kindness, love of others, care of your speech, actions and thoughts became just PC culture to be dismissed and derided.

Then being Christian just became a identity and everyone else was just the "other".

Then the identity just became hardened and strident so that the "other" could became more easily defined and "others" became more dangerous and alien.

It's happened before 2 or 3 times in the history of this country. Every time it's been beaten back because it's not an American thing.

If that were true the SCOTUS would have upheld traditional marriage, and abortion wouldn't be the law of the land. But the sad truth is we are living in a hedonistic, post-Christian world.

I don't know why you guys gotta insist that you've never heard a priest speak like this before.

No, thankfully I've really only had metered, honest Priests. Of course, all of them were Parish Priests, not chaplains at schools for lawyers.

all we have to do is to look at the history of Russia, China under Mao, and especially Poland to see what the US would be like for Christians under a Hillary Presidency.

Obama has set things up perfectly for a massive government take over.
All she has to do is walk into the oval office, sit down, and begin implimenting the orders already written.
and then Christians will be toast.

Pope Francis talks an awful lot about greed and selfishness--such unpopular topics because almost everyone in the U.S., if they are honest, will realize they are at least a little guilty of.
And while this chaplain fears churches will close because of "religious freedom issues" I'm with Pope Francis--they are more likely to destroy themselves from within because people are selfish, materialistic and greedy, not because government has laws making birth control available.

I'm boycotting Domino's pizza for supporting a university that promotes ideas such as these.
I'm sure that is really difficult given they serve about the worst pizza around. Catholic owner or not.
