We have been set free of condemnation concerning the moral law. There is no law of righteousness concerning the moral law, but the moral law itself still exists, it mustWe have been set free from themoral law (rom7:4) totally. Now that which is written in our heart is the principle (interchageably called as law) of grace.
Now we could do the things that we desire, as the hindering (rom7:17) sin is dead (rom7:8). Similarly, we cannot be forced by sin to do what we do not desire. Similarly we have no knowledge what sin is (rom3:20), as by His love, Jesus set us free from law.
The core terms of the new covenant state:
I will write my laws in their minds
And place them on their hearts
Then he adds
Their sins and lawless deeds I will remember no more
Heb10:16&17
The disciple John knew what sin was:
If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us 1john 1:8
Only through the law can you be conscious of sin. Therefore if John acknowledged sin, he must acknowledge law.
Christ is the end of the law UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS rom10:4
Not full stop!
