In the early morning of the rising sun, the temp was a blistering 77f, and the humidity was so high a person could taste it. As the fury orb ascended the sky, the temp ascended explosively as well, to a baking 94f by 12 noon. At 1pm I could hear the thunder in the far NE. By 1:15 the high winds @ ~50-60 mph, and @ ~1:20 the rains came, the temp drops 20f to ~74f, and the rains came. I measured 1.25 inches in 20 mins. The winds abated, the rains slowed, the temps held steady. For a while it was quite sceery for the sceerdy cats, but for us bravehearts, it was exciting. We like thunder storms.

Sounds very dramatic. We've had a couple of storms over the last week -it seems to freshen things up a bit.

My wife is sensitive to heat, so our AC is set to 69F. I'm smart and try to keep my wife happy.

What a wise man! lol!

It's 90F here right now, and the humidity is 59%. That gives us a heat index of 101F. Higher temperatures are in the forecast. It's beginning to look like a hot summer for us here.

Hot and humid here, could barely breath when I let the dog out, sitting in front of my fan and air purifier, thankful to breath!

You guys (except Dave) are having it VERY hot! I hope you manage to stay cool. ...and Dave I hope you get drier weather soon . We've not had it quite so wet as you, but there has been a fair amount of rain. Today has been dry with mild temperatures.

Well 357 and I live a lot farther south than Dave, I believe. And on the other side of the pond. I am cool, even when the AC quits, I keep my cool, and when it is running, I'm nice and cool. Just an all around cool guy. How about it 357 you cool?

Gorgeous weather here....though we need rain!

It will be 98F here today, and our humidity has gone up again (59%). I'll just guess that will make our heat index over 105F. It's easier to deal with dry heat, at least for me.

I only go outside for short periods of time when it's this hot. It's expected to go considerably higher in the coming weeks. The AC is serviced and works pretty well, so you'll find me inside.
