I am finding myself to becoming more and more angry, and beyond frustrated with all the BS going on in the world today. This trans-gender business is really making me fed up. The fact that people I respect are falling into this trap from Satan, justifying homosexuality, siding with Obama that "God forbid we offend Muslims, or admit that ISIS is a problem," and that people can decide for themselves what is truth and what is good, is depressing. I can't make them see what they are doing is wrong. All I get is labeled a bigot, a hateful person, intolerant, and not only bombarded with questions such as "How does gay marriage affect you?" but also people twisting scripture to fit their beliefs and then then telling me that I can't judge people! Didn't Jesus say to love everybody? Didn't Jesus say not to judge others? It makes me so mad when people use scripture against Christians! Is anyone else feeling this way, and what can I do? Please don't respond and call me a hateful, bigoted false Christian. Only respond if you have any advice or anything beneficial to say.

I feel equally helpless in the face of all this. I have no answers as to how to fix everything either. In the end we are not able to fix everything. All we can do is share Christ's love and His salvation with the world (meaning each of us can do so with those we have contact with). However, what we CAN'T do is make people believe Him or accept Him. Jesus Himself didn't force anyone. We still have free will.

And Jesus did warn us this would happen. He warned us that the world will hate us because of Him, and because it hated Him first.

We must also remember that our battle is not with people, but with powers and principalities of darkness. There is a very real spiritual battle going on. In many ways, becoming aware of this has caused me to be more assured in my faith and trust in Jesus. After all, if the Bible was really just some fairytale, then everyone who didn't believe it would just not care. And yet, the word of God and Christians are constantly under attack. There is a very real hatred in this world for the truth, if it wasn't the truth it would just be left alone as it would be of no consequence. But Satan and his demons know who God is, they know what His word is and they know who we are, and so the spiritual battle rages.

We need to put our trust and our hope in our Saviour in these times. We are not alone and Jesus has promised that the gates of hell will not prevail against His church. He has overcome the world, despite our many trials and tribulations here. And He is coming back. When He does, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord. There will be no more denying it.

I empathize with your struggle. Just remember that God always has a faithful remnant. So do what you are doing and speak the truth and stay loyal to him. Don't be surprised if you are met with resistance. This is normal as the whole world is under the sway of the wicked one.

gay marriage doesn't affect me.
they will do what they like but I don't let it affect me cos I'm not looking at that. Keep your eyes on Jesus.

I don't know about the people you respect, (your elders? your parents?) but, seeing as God has no respect of persons and sees us as humans with sinful natures which can only be redeemed through the blood of Jesus I just think, well, some people are lost, and in darkness. Some, sadly are wolves in sheeps clothing. Don't listen to them. Your job is to keep shining His light.

? sorry I don't live in america. It really doesn't affect me.
I don't choose to fellowship with people who disobey the Lord. You can pray for them that their eyes be opened, but some are deep in sin and don't want to listen. Pray for those that want to know God and keep from sin.

In nz there is gay marriage and some politicians endorsed it and changed the law, but I don't respect those politicians, none of whom are christians, they are people pleasers. Many christians didn't agree with the change in laws, but it was bulldozed through. However, that law does not affect those that follow the Lord anyway. It might make it easier for people that want to practise that kind of sin, but it need not affect you personally.

Ministers and pastors in churches are not going to suddenly let gay people marry in church because of a law change. Someone who is truly following the Lord would not do that.
There will be false preachers and teachers in churches but if there are, you be wise to leave those kinds of churches were the Word is compromised. Anger is not good for anybody. Leave it to the Lord because vengeance is His. He will repay. People reap what they sow, don't yoke yourself to people that want to pull you down and take God's grace for licentiousness. Come away from them.

If you are in the same position as Lot was in sodom and gomorrah, follow the Lord and get out. Lot didn't stay and try and preach to those who had fallen. His wife looked back and was turned into a pillar of salt. Jesus recalled this story and said, don't look back like Lots wife. God wanted to destroy Sodom but Abraham's nephew Lot was still living there. What happened? God sent his angels to get him out.

Lybrah, it is fine that you are so concerned but be aware that much of the hoopla you are referring to is not as big as you think it is. The media hypes up one little scenario in the world and makes you think its everywhere when it is not.
My advice is to stop watching the news. Turn off talk radio. Stop looking at Facebook. Go outside. Spend time enjoying creation and meditate in the word.

Knowing Scripture, and knowing when/how to speak up are both very important. You've got to appear more humble, loving, and wise than you sound. It really seems that you're making yourself a target by not putting out valid arguments but rather throwing bombs. Whether you're arguing for the right thing or the wrong thing, people on the other side with a rational mind will tear into what you say if it appears that you're throwing bombs because you have needlessly made it easy for them.

It's easy to feel that way. God himself even said that they will call evil good and good evil which I believe is exactly what is going on today with the liberality. Don't know how you would see this, but I was once transgender! I got sucked into the whole propaganda of it, making me feel that I was being "brave" for expressing the confusion I had about my identity. I'm proof however that there is hope for these people in Christ because he brought me from that lake of fire and holds me to himself.

Hang in there though. Try to stand firm to the biblical truths revealed by God, yet try to do that without bitterness and hatred. Know that is really tough though because it is too easy (at least to me it seems) to seem to express that you are okay with those things and support them when you are not showing a lot of negative feeling about it. Pray to God to give you the grace to do this. He can do this for you, if he wills it (one other thing I remember from a sermon is that only Jesus was the one who perfectly balanced grace and truth, grace meaning the kindness that is typically upheld by those who speak of love and non-judgment and truth meaning the biblical truths that are often spouted by those who seem more "harsh". Most of us fall to either one side of the spectrum or the other. We're imperfect beings. Yet God can make use of a crooked rod to set something straight).

Gotta run now, but that's all I can come up with so far!

I don't care if you believe if guns or good or bad but in this nation they are a God given right and we have them to keep us free. In this country they are a blessing not a curse.
Where, and please be precise, does the Scripture confer the right to gun ownership on American citizens? I can understand if the moderators elect to nip a discussion on guns in the bud since this is really not what an "advice" forum is for.

Well, if these people are misinterpreting scripture, then you should be able to make a clear, objective case that they are mistaken. But it is certainly no surprise that Christians disagree on the meaning of Scripture. Either way, moral indignation or anger are not legitimate currency in settling such questions. In other words, it does not really matter how passionately I happen to believe something (and perhaps more specifically, what scripture is saying) - what matters is what scripture is actually saying.

Lybrah: If I'm angry at you, ever if my anger is justified, what's really going on?...............At that moment in my white hot seething anger, Iv'e REALLY just given you complete power over me now haven't I ????????????....... Now I don't know about you, but no living human being is EVER going to get that kind of power over me.......When I signed on as a Christian one of the 1st things I had to understand was that I'd just signed on for (from the world ) tribulation, rejection, and persecution. Although alot of people never realize that before persecution comes prosecution, however, you are highly Blessed.

I think many christians are feeling the same right now as you can see by the posts. I know in FB groups I am part of christians are angry, feeling helpless and don't know what to do.

I feel it to. I've caught myself being UNCHRISTIAN like and telling LGBT people bad things. Not swearing or rants or anything per say. Just things that would only cause argument and make them feel less caring towards us Christians. Every news story I see anywhere on the net is always about some LGBT related thing and its driving me nuts. More so how the world seems to be changing towards it. And after the Orlando event, people are blaming Christians it that was pretty much the tipping point for me then I lost my cool.

I've had to try to use the net less and ignore news sites and FB to some degree because I don't want to stumble. Only way I can cope with it is by realizing the truth. Theres nothing I can do to change whats going on. The bible said things would get worse in the end. And that we would suffer because of His name. So I can't say I am to shocked by whats going on (even if annoyed by it). I expect things to get way worse though. Especially for christians. I already seen a bill wanting to be passed in one of the states that would shut down "private christian schools" since the law says they are prejudice in what they teach or something alone those lines.

So best advice is realize we are possibly in the end times and things will get worse. Pray for strength! Me? I'm starting to feel happier because if it is true maybe God will come back in my lifetime and I can see Him! Its the most joyful thing I can think of and I look forward to it! :D

I am finding myself to becoming more and more angry, and beyond frustrated with all the BS going on in the world today.
Me too, sometimes, sometimes i can cope with it, but it will get worse in the world...
This trans-gender business is really making me fed up.
I agree there.
It's sold as a solution for gender dysphoria, but you'll never become the other gender fully.
You'll have to tell a potential partner, who will likely be turned off.
Severe depression and suicide rates are very high among transgenders.
Some are sorry they did it and want to change back again..
They're doing young children too nowadays...
God have mercy..
The fact that people I respect are falling into this trap from Satan, justifying homosexuality,
This is where many Christians should be more careful i.m.h.o.
Some people are simply homosexual, in that they're not attracted to the other gender, but to their own gender.
Is that their fault?
I don't think so.
The problem lies in sodomy and gay pride and the depraved culture it has.
But it is wrong to judge them, it's not Christian to judge people.
The world is increasingly eager to judge Christians who do judge people.
They want us on the heap of the other monotheistic religion everyone hates: Islam.
siding with Obama that "God forbid we offend Muslims, or admit that ISIS is a problem," and that people can decide for themselves what is truth and what is good, is depressing.
It is...
The sheeple / sleeple are clueless and just lap up what the world serves them.
And a lot of Christians too, apparently have more faith in the world than in God.
I mean like never doubting the news-media, never doubting the Church of Naturalism (so called science) nor their denominations.
I can't make them see what they are doing is wrong. All I get is labeled a bigot, a hateful person, intolerant, and not only bombarded with questions such as "How does gay marriage affect you?"
We shouldlearn from that though i.m.o.
but also people twisting scripture to fit their beliefs and then then telling me that I can't judge people! Didn't Jesus say to love everybody? Didn't Jesus say not to judge others?
Well, He did, didn't he? So they're right.
It makes me so mad when people use scripture against Christians!
That's only to be expected.
Moreover, there are lots of hypocrites in the world, also among Christians.
Gun in one hand, Bible in the other hand...
Condemning their fellow humans, judging people, hating and despising.
The lack of Love among Christians will be their (our) undoing.
Is anyone else feeling this way,
None the less, yes. I'm frustrated too.
"Who will be able to stand?" indeed...
More to worry about ahead, it... well, frankly it sucks..
and what can I do?
Be in Christ and remain in Christ.
We should know that God lets the thistles grow up among the corn.
Please don't respond and call me a hateful, bigoted false Christian. Only respond if you have any advice or anything beneficial to say.
Well, we should look up to Christ, repent, have faith.
God WILL make it all right.
Our treasures are in Heaven.
Earth is the school of hard knocks.
But still we're supposed to be an example.
Love is the biggest Commandment, it's the Law of Christ.
God teaches us humility, so that we don't hate.

Hang in there !

It is upsetting and I often ask the Lord to give me patience and love for others while living in a fallen world. It is hard to love some but we have to try to, it doesn't mean that we have to love their sins tho. All we can do in many cases is to try to be a good example to others, to try to reflect the love of Christ within us, it tends to rub off on people... That's one of the reasons why I don't watch the news and stay away from social media such as facebook etc because they really know how to fuel the fire, a worldly fire, the kind that makes people upset especially us Christians.

Looking at my post history on facebook I realized 80% of my posts are on news stories regarding LGBT and I seem very judgmental. I mean yes, even if I get frustrated I shouldn't say stupid things because its not showing the love of God by going so. I'm glad my wife had me realize how I was sounding because I don't want to become a negative judgy person. Thankfully on FB I can delete all those stupid comments I made.
