No, evolution is most certainly in biology text books from about age 12 and up. At least, in teaching institutions not affiliated with a religion in most developed countries. Also, most people alive today don't work in a career related to biology, and would be fine knowing it only to a high school level (I imagine you use the term high school as it applies to the United States), but people do learn about evolution by that point, just so you know.

seeing as more than 5% of the world's population has college degrees, and that says nothing of the number that attend a university and later drop out.

My point was what is in the text books and what they call evolution is not the same thing. There is a lot of controversy in general over what goes in the text books and what books they put in the school libraries. The voters here just threw two people off of our board of education because the voters did not feel that represented their beliefs. So the voters have some control over what goes into the text books. Even in communist China they have elected official. But they only have a one party system there. So you have to choose your officials from members of that one party.

It always ends up in intolerance, injustice, cruelty,... While the extremists actually thinks (s)he is doing good things.

I believe the world is round because I can fly around it, what I can't believe is stories handed down by word of mouth over many years are all 100% true, I have heard accounts of an event I witnessed twisted out of all proportion in just one week, imagine what happens to a story over many many years when there is no one able to write it down, 10 becomes a hundred and a week becomes a year.

Even if you're 90 years old then, according to your own explanation, there really is nothing you can trust beyond roughly 90 years past, since all of that would have happened before you were born and all you have is word of mouth, stories, testimony etc...

If you can only believe what you actually see/experience (like flying around the world) then there is very little of human history that you can trust, quite apart from any religion bias you may have, if you want your logic to be consistent.

I don't understand your reasoning here. Maybe it's because we have different understandings of radical. Did you know there's a guy on this forum who has more than 3 million posts? To me, that's radical. Professional athletes will often train intensely throughout the weeks, months and years for tiny, tiny incremental gains on their personal bests or world records. To me, that is radical.

A guy jumps in front of a moving vehicle to push an old woman out of danger. That's radical. A kid writing an essay on "what is courage" writes, "This is." and hands it in. A mother decides to homeschool her kids to ensure their education is done right.

A man decides he'd rather die than betray his conscience. What is so bad about being radical, and are you sure you're not mistaking some other behavior for what it means to be radical?

Hmm, I wonder. I'm a firm believer in intelligent design, but I'm not so sure about creationism, if by creationism you mean a literal 7 day, 24 hours per day creation. I believe God could do so, but I'm not convinced that he did do so. I am convinced that we didn't all come from a single cell. That just doesn't make sense to me.

There's just too much complexity in our design for such a simple explanation to possibly be reasonable, though I understand the appeal.

The complexity in our "design" doesn't always show intelligence.

Countless people including children die every year from simply choking on food because a supposed intelligent designer gave us the same orifice to both eat and breath from. Where is the intelligence in that?

Another issue is using an intelligent designer as a scapegoat because we cannot yet explain the origin of life. It doesn't give us any real answers, only more questions.

If the human body is that complex it requires a designer, then the logic follows that the designer if he is at least as complex as humans also requires a designer. A designer of a designer, and so on.

It is a rabbit hole with no satisfactory ending.

Unfortunately, that is very true here and elsewhere, where there are these unqualified, self-appointed authorities who, without any scientific education whatsoever, pass themselves off as way smarter and wiser and knowledgeable than all these scientists.
