Yes, I am attacking people because I simply state what they themselves believe. Yet you are not when you tell me to go hobnobbing with my Bible Belt buddies?

Alright, if you feel offended by what I said, let me reword it. Bible Belt Christianity is founded on an anti-intellectual theological basis. There, denouncing your opponents in as negative way as you can is taken as real cool and in. I recently heard several Bible Belt people say that Billy Graham is going to go to Hell he doesn't change his wicked ways. I receive frequent emails for a local group who continually denounce the Pope as being the Antichrist. In modern theology, we seek to avoid anything remotely related to that style. If we disagree with someone, then we try and provide a rational rebuttal, not jump in and dump on his character, denouncing him as a heretic, child of the Devil, etc. You and several others here do have a tendency to do just that. I am simply pointing that out to you and maybe that will lhelp you overcome it.

Maybe not immediately, but ultimately. How intelligence somehow came to be is what you are still trying to figure out. Why not believe in God?

Thanks for playing, but it is you who lose. If you would pay attention to what I write, you would have noted that I pointed out, in my previous post, that the original Hebrew texts do not have any "brother of" in here. That was a gloss added by later translators, when they tampered with the text. That's why some modern editions of teh Bible have omitted "brother of" here.
