King Priam (
@mojoboy31 ) of Troy ordered his son Paris (
@Rhamiel) to be left to die on Mount Ida. He had been forewarned by seers that Paris would one day be the destroyer of Troy. Paris is saved and nursed by a she bear (
@blackribbon ). Paris' younger sister Cassandra(
@Goodbook), was cursed of Apollo and doomed to have her prophecies disregarded as the ravings of a lunatic. When Paris returns to Troy to claim his title of Prince, Cassandra wails and shrieks of Paris' role as destroyer of Troy. King Priam casts her into his prison. Paris sails for Sparta and seduces the beautiful Helen (
@leothelioness ) during her husband, King Menelaus' (@Mr.Moe) absence. Helen and Paris sail back for Troy.
King Agamemnon (
@Post Tenebras Lux ) and Menelaus declare war on Troy.They assemble the Greek warriors together. All but two are present. Odysseus (
@Hawthorne ) and Achilles(
@GQ Chris ). Odysseus feigns madness but his tricks are discovered and he is forced to join the rest. The soldiers then persuade Achilles to join them and they set sail for Troy. They encounter unfavorable winds and discover that the Goddess Artemis demands a sacrifice. Iphigenia(
@Quieted ) daughter of Agamemnon offers herself up as the sacrifice. Her death appeases Artemis and the Greek expedition reaches Troy.
Ten years of battle ensue. Hector (
@ReesePiece23) is the valiant defender of Troy and son of Priam. He is aided by Aeneas(
@SarahsKnight ) an ally from a neighboring land. Eventually, Achilles traps Hector outside the walls of Troy and slays him with a lance to his neck. He drags Hectors body behind his chariot all around the city walls of Troy. During a subsequent battle, Paris exacts revenge and shoots arrows into Achilles ankle and kills him. The Greeks, disheartened by the death of Achilles, and the long years of battle, construct a large hollow horse. Several soldiers:
@YankeeGirl,
@Darth Bagel ,
@Travelers.Soul ,
@Miss Spaulding and
@MehGuy climb into the horse. The rest of the army fakes a retreat and sets sail to a nearby island to lie in wait. At Odysseus's instructions, a slave named Sinon(@TX-Matt) is left behind to convince the men of Troy that the Greeks have retreated and left the giant wooden horse as a present to appease the Goddess Athena. Sinon lies and states that he was chosen to be the human sacrifice to Athena but he ran away and hid. Cassandra and another priest Laocoon (
@redblue22) warn the men of Troy that the horse is a trap. The Trojans ignore their warnings and bring the giant horse within the city walls. During the night, the soldiers break out of the horse, set fire to the city, and open the city gates for the remainder of the army. They slaughter most of the inhabitants of the city including King Priam and capture Cassandra. She returns to Sparta as the slave of Agamemnon.
