CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This is not true. Not all science is pure. It is plagued by mans false doctrine just as all things are. When that happens then it becomes a delusion. Politics science and religion, they are all grasping after the wind. Like a dog chasing its own tail, we are running in circles. Its a great delusion to think science is mankind's savior. Science only creates as many problems as it tries to fix. Look at society, we are no better off than we ever were. People still die of diseases and war. Its only a delusion subductionzone. God alone is our hope

And Subduction pointed out that it has self correcting mechanisms. I've detailed some of these in an earlier post. If you require help finding it let me know.
I don't think Subduction said science is Mankind's Saviour. If he did I would disagree with him: science is one the tools that mankind can use to save himself and the biosphere. And it is a very important tool.
Not better off? Therefore you think that our ability to talk to each other across the planet and possibly reach a better understanding is a bad thing? In that case you really ought to leave the forum. If you don't think that then perhaps you need to withdraw your claim that we create as many problems as we fix.

It is hardly my opinion. It is rather obvious that the Exodus story is not true. When you take out that it does not leave much for Moses.
Mohammad probably existed, just as Jesus probably existed. Myths have grown up around both of them.

Sorry, but a myth can't be a hope. And I never claimed that all science is perfect, but all of the sciences do have a self correcting method. What science do you think is delusion? Odds are that have only deluded yourself.
And you are extremely dependent upon the science that you seem to deride. It is all but impossible not to be today. To be a YEC in this day and age one has to be a rather massive hypocrite, and being an OEC is not much better.

You are completely dependent on God Who you deride. One day you will see, when every knee bows and confesses Jesus as Lord. I dont deride science, i just know its limitations and its false doctrines. Science is not always self correcting either, but is vulnerable to mass delusion, which is seen in all false doctrines. I know science thinks its above mans folly, but its not.

Science is an inanimate, conceptual methodology. Therefore it cannot think anything. The fact that you believe it can betrays your ignorance of what science is and how it operates. We are all ignorant of one thing or another, but it is good practice not to pontificate in those areas where our ignorance is demonstrable.

I do not pontificate, but rather express the truth that i have seen. Science can be, and is often, a false doctrine where politics and religious notion do play a role. To say that science is above mans folly is incorrect. To say that science is pure and un-defiled by mans spiritual blindness, hypocrisy and false doctrines, is incorrect.

You cant do this if you lock yourself away into atheism. Its true that atheists have bias just as all people do, and it plays a role in all their thinking, even in science. They may think they are using critical analysis, but they are only fooling themselves. They would have us believe they have an open mind, and think critically, and the rest of us are fools, but its not true. They are so blind that they cat even see their own bias and hypocrisy.
