  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What is the greatest evidence against the theory of evolution...?

You need DNA to build protein. So maybe it would be more like having an electrician build a staircase. I think they call that an escalator.

You need protein to make DNA and RNA. The changes in the laws of physics that you require would not allow for the existence of DNA and RNA polymerases, the proteins needed to copy DNA and make DNA into mRNA. The changes in the laws of physics you require wouldn't even allow for the existence of proteins needed to make nucleotides, or scavenge them from the environment.

Then they weren't strong enough to allow proteins to fold into the structures they need to form functional enzymes. The result is no life.
So now proteins folded before the Fall, did they?

Anything else that shouldn't have worked before the Fall?

What does your DNA & protein knowledge say about where thorns and thistles came from?

I'm assuming, of course, that your twised DNA explanation works "under the sun," as Solomon put it.

But what about prior to the Fall, when the earth was (or may have been) bathed in Shekinah energy?

Did atoms jump and hop like they do today?

You mean you believe you have. The supernatural does not exist it's a cop out, it's used when reality stops some people from believing what they want to believe.Faith is only used when there is no evidence, the amount of faith required is directly proportional to the need to believe,
the greater the need the stronger the faith.
I have heard the voice of God, but only once, and only one word, it was speaking to the other voices that stayed farther away (about ten yards) that were tormenting me.. This one word voice was right next to me, I recall "jumping" when I heard it, it simply said "Go!" and it was an authoritative voice, unlike the others, when It said "Go!" the voices disappeared for six months, the good news is that I would now recognize the voice if it spoke again... And I have seen these presences affect my environment, what I would call "signs...

Abraham talked to God, but I don't think God is a big talker and he doesn't waste words, so I think he rarely speaks, Abraham heard God's voice when he was young, but how many times, how many years or decades did Abraham have to go WITHOUT God speaking, Abraham knew the voice and he patiently waited to hear that voice again, for decades at a time...

Perhaps God will speak to me again, someday, but until then, I wait...

The changes in the laws of physics that you require would not allow for proteins to fold into their active form.

Anything else that shouldn't have worked before the Fall?

Since you need to drastically change the laws of physics so that molecules change their solubility in water, it would have massive repercussions for just about all chemistry on the Earth. Salt wouldn't dissolve in water. For all we know, oxygen won't be soluble in water, meaning that our mucus lined lungs won't be able to absorb oxygen. The hemoglobin in our red blood cells won't bind oxygen. I can keep going, if you want.

They come from their ancestors.

If Shekinah energy prevented DNA from forming a double helix, then it also stopped all important functions in the human body.

Care to prove otherwise?
We will be glad to give you a shovel and let you dig yourself in deeper. Talk.Origin is a "moderated Usenet discussion forum". Do you consider a discussion forum to be "true science"? If that is what you consider to be true science then you do not understand science or how it works. Even if discussion is a process that results in true science the controversy is not itself true science. Wiki goes on to say: "The group is characterized by a long list of in-crowd jokes" So by definition Talk.Origins is a joke. "Only one thing is certain—that is, nothing is certain. If this statement is true, it is also false."

I have read the TO articles and found them to be a very accurate representation of the scientific literature. Care to show otherwise?

Can you please show us how TO is biased?

Also, we are talking about the articles published on the TO website, not the usenet discussions.

Organisms adapt to their environment.
I think that's called fenotypical variation, not genotypical.
Although genes can be switched on and off also.
You expect data corruption to cause purposeful adaptations within a few generations.

Do you trust the opinions of phd biologists, in regards to biology?

Yes or no.
