  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So, pulled by sick horses? Horse immune systems are actually garbage compared to ours, so I find that unlikely. Why not have people pulling them?
The plague only killed some, and made some sick for some time. There is no reason to assume all were sick and died or some such nonsense.

No. Actually,

"We are not told that Israel saw Pharaoh's body dead on the shore. In these three summary excerpts it is clear that only Pharaoh's horsemen and charioteers followed the Israelites into the sea. This cannot be construed to say that Pharaoh himself went in, or even that all Pharaoh's soldiers went in. It is highly probable that only the fastest moving units, those utilizing horses, were sent, while those on foot stayed with Pharaoh."

Hello Mr. Biased-Source. I see you are doing well, as always ;) . Cheeky moment aside, you do have a fair point, and upon further research, it is quite possible that the Pharaoh did not die. Let it be known that I am not unwilling to acknowledge when I am wrong. The bible is a tad ambiguous on the matter for my liking, but for what it is worth, the non-death interpretation seems stronger to me now. Also, this source sites a better time period for the Exodus events http://www.cgg.org/index.cfm/fuseac...oh-of-Exodus-Drown-in-Red-Sea-Exodus-1428.htm . Don't get me wrong, this one is biased too, I just am saying from a historical perspective, this time frame works out better for your biblical interpretation than the time you gave me.

Again you are wrong!
You just pointed out that the fighting force followed them into the sea! Not as decimated as you thought!
A force was left over, obviously not every soldier was a first born son. However, it most certainly would have been a blow to their numbers. Also, when I say "fighting force", I don't mean an adequate number of soldiers, or any specific number for that matter. They did drown, though.

The force involved there was replaced as would happen in any military loss.
Humans don't reproduce and age fast enough for Egypt to be back to expanding in less than 10 years.

Well, I could look at the various suspects for Exodus Pharaoh since the whole thing is somewhat uncertain as to the exact time.

A force was left over, obviously not every soldier was a first born son.
Right, and a lot of those firstborn sons were babies or kids. The actual firstborns of prime military age may have been minimal.

However, it most certainly would have been a blow to their numbers. Also, when I say "fighting force", I don't mean an adequate number of soldiers, or any specific number for that matter. They did drown, though.
Now I assume that the force chasing the slaves was from one area in Egypt. Egypt was a big country. Not like Pharaoh would send a smoke signal hundreds of miles away and get all the cities and military garrisons to send all their chariots or men on short notice to the red sea area. This was simply a big loss of a major military expedition I suspect.

Humans don't reproduce and age fast enough for Egypt to be back to expanding in less than 10 years.
?? What does it take to expand? You send in some troops, steal some territory and voila!

I have presented it over and over again. The same pratts keep coming up again and again. Can't you sing an new song rather then the same old tired lies from skeptics dot com? If you did your research and homework then you would not need to ask me to do it for you. The problem is if people do not take a stand for the truth then these tired old myths will permeate public belief. Like the flat earth myth. No one ever believed the earth was flat. Yet skeptics dot com due to their lack of integrity continues to push them same tired old myths that have been repeated shown to be wrong again and again.

Would you link to the post you presented your evidence.

I bet you won't.

They don't talk about evacuating earth, they talk about spreading to other planets and solar systems.

Dreams are not always easy to figure out. I had a dream about how my car was broken and all my money was gone. As it turned out my son had the car at that time. I should have prayed and asked God to help me understand the dream. If I had I would not have allowed my son to use the car that day and I could have saved myself a lot of money. Of course there would have been a big fight because he never would have believed what happened was going to happen. I would have never thought it either if I had not had a dream about it ahead of time. So when I told him I have a bad feeling about this you better not go. He just argued with me and assured me not to worry everything was going to be all right. Now he knows maybe he should have listened to me.

We can barely adapt to life here on earth and you want us to adapt to life somewhere else? First you better learn how to use the worm hole system if you want to start to travel around the universe. Maybe check with Jodi Foster. She could explain it to you.

We would of course terraform a planet or only live on planets that could support us. Or we would live in habitats that would have earthlike environments. I fail to see how the problem of adaption is that important.

Again how do you plan to get to these other planets because I do not think Captain Kirk is going to be able to get you there. Funny that you think you can manipulate the environment on another planet when you can not even get this one straightened out. Maybe you better work on fixing this one first before you take on any new projects.

No one argues with the actual cities where the Hebrew Children lived in Egypt. The problem they have is the camp sites in the wilderness. The Hebrew Campsites were shaped like a shoe and they are clearly set up the way Moses said to set them up. Then of course no one argues with the Temple mount in Jerusalem or the old city there going back 3,000 years and all the history there. So the problem with skeptic dot com seems to be getting the Hebrew Children from the cities they were living in Egypt to Jerusalem and I do not understand why that is a problem for them. People have no problem with Jericho and the remains there shows the historical accuracy of the Bible. Also there are remains at Babylon to show the historical accuracy of the history of that country that we read about in the Bible.

A lot of the exact evidence is hidden away right now so that Isis can not destroy it. The Muslims and the Hebrew Children are fighting over the land and so the Muslims want to destroy any evidence that the Hebrews have any historic right to that land. So there are a lot of people working to suppress and destroy evidence. The Hebrews at the Universities in Jerusalem really see no reason to defend their history and they tend to stay out of the controversy. For them they have regained control over their ancient heritage and that is good enough for now.

The Bible talks about how the Ancient Hebrew people made bricks in Egypt and here is a drawing of that. Also they talk about evidence of the combination of egyptian and hebrew texts.

Some of it is hidden like the Ark of the Covenant is not on display anywhere. There is still an abundance of artifacts for people to study. I have been doing a study of ancient history in the middle east for 50 years now and there is plenty there for everyone to look at. Interesting how evolution-ism wants us to accept their evidence but they do not want to look at the evidence for creationism. They do not want to accept anything that clearly refutes what they want to believe. So it pretty much all comes down to: Show us your evidence so we can do all we can do to destroy it.

Yep.

Religious fundamentalism and not being religious make a perfect combination.
