Why is God so hidden? Why must we seek Him to Find Him?

Science does this all the time. Show me the singularity which created the big bang. Can you? No.

I can theorize that this singularity is in fact God. YOu cannot say that im wrong however because you dont know what it is, or where it is.

Yes, and the response "I don't know" is a completely acceptable and honest response to many questions.

Your problem with your 'theory' is that you have absolutely no evidence to support it!

Dont believe it then. I never asked you to Steve. I know that God speaks to the heart, not through a microscope, so i know that only God can speak to you, i cannot. If God chooses not to speak, or if perhaps you choose not to listen, thats not my concern. I would overstep my boundaries if i were to let it become my concern. Im not God.

Oh, I see. My grounding in reality is a fantasy? Whereas yours, which involves beliefs for which you can provide no evidence, represents the 'real' state of affairs, correct?

Not only that, but the millions of people who, LIKE YOU, have claimed a belief in the 'spirit world', but happen to coalesce that belief around the 'wrong' gods, are also living in fantasy, right?

Your fantasy is that you can disprove God.

Yes, its the heart. You use your eyes, nose and ears to observe science. The heart is another sense as well.

Another ridiculous claim. The heart is a pump, nothing more. If you claim it to be some kind of sensory organ and want that to be accepted in your 'argument', then you need to supply some evidence for it!

The arrogance!

And the millions who "discovered" Zeus and Vishnu and Ra instead? Were they just using the wrong "method"?
No, that was their conceptualization of deitie(s) in the age in which they lived. We can't think without concept frames, but frames are basically erroneous.

Yes, its measured in the heart. You use your eyes, nose and ears to observe science. The heart is another sense as well.
Is this method of yours in any way discernible from you simply imagining things? No?

How can something be described as a "reality" if it is impossible to demonstrate that it exists!?

Do you know what the word means?
Love is impossible to define or prove in the same way, but those who have experienced it know what it is.

Oh dear.

Educate yourself - Vishnu is a god that is CURRENTLY worshipped, along with a host of Hindu deities! I could choose many others in the modern era, if you so wish.

So, are those people less 'spiritual' than yourself?

No, they are also in search of God. Polytheism is a transitional phase for evolutionary cultures. Religions are largely human institutions which grow up around the spirit of worship periodically augmented by revelations great and small. Take your own advice and educate yourself.

Whats it matter to you? Does my faith keep you awake at night? Does it harm you in some way? Is this still a free country? Do we still have freedom of religion? Im not trying to be offensive or rude, but i must ask you.

Pretend that you are in a philosophy forum, and answer my question first.

Is this method of yours in any way discernible from you simply imagining things? No?

Yes, in my opinion it is. At the end of the day, after i hear all the nonsense in this world, my heart is my refuge. I use my mind to meditate on things and find answers. I find that the bible is true. Its wisdom is true. Experience has shown me that Gods word makes much sense.

Then what are you talking about? You make a distinction between what goes on in your brain and this nebulous concept of thoughts attached to the 'heart'.

Again - no evidence, just unsupported claims and wish-thinking.

Its not a natural bodily organ but is instead a spiritual bodily organ. Its that part of us that God gives us. He promises a new heart. Thats what we are seeking, and what we find.

As for evidence, i have all i need inside. I know you cant see it, and no you may not dissect me and look inside :)

you will just need to take my word for it, or not. Im not out to prove anything. God does that himself.

Oh, I like that! Your own religion speaks of a trinity. Your own religion encompasses the gods El and Yahweh, but you aren't polytheistic are you!?

And can I remind you that the religion of Hinduism, which you describe as 'in transition', has existed in its present form for thousands of years before your own 'fully evolved' belief system.

But the Hindus had always chosen the wrong fantasy, hadn't they?
