  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The difference, of course, being that the former has been rigoroulsy studied and known to exist for decades, while the latter is just a claim, and probably doesn't exist.

Also, we have there's no single 'missing link'. Dozens of homo aferensis specimens have been found.
I'll tell you with all confidence, if those skulls backed up the TOE and were in any way usable for profit or gain to cause people to doubt the Biblical account of the history of man.... it would be considered rock solid good as gold evidence.
However, it backs up the Biblical account and causes some trouble for evolution. It also gives a good argument for there being a God if all this starts to fit like a puzzle of ancient writings.

SO it is false, has no "solid" backing for being true.

You cannot deny, they exist and they are intact, there are hundreds of them and they are found near megalithic structures that baffle and amaze engineers of today as they are feats of amazing ability.

The fact is that the human race was going to be totally wiped out.

If God exists and he's omnipotent, he could have stopped this. Sounds like it was something he wanted to do.

God was disgusted with the humans.

If God exists and is omniscient, then he knows the outcome of his creation. Why is he disgusted in something he created and knew the outcome of that creation?

Noah found favor due to the fact that he still was a Godly man and of pure DNA.

What is 'pure DNA'? Please define this in great detail and provide evidence for such a thing. Since DNA is not mentioned in the bible, I will be interested to see how you try to twist things to make it seem like that it is.

So, God agreed to start over with Noah and his family.

God must not be well versed in genetic diversity. Please explain in detail how a family of 8 was able to interbreed an entire civilization without severe genetic defects due to the lack of genetic diversity. If you decide to invoke 'magic' into it, my only response will be LOL

What would you have done with millions of people who were totally off the rails?

Well if I am an omniscient and omnipotent being, I wouldn't have screwed up the first time creating them.

You're just going to come down and show them how to live right? Hmm didn't He do that? And, ya they crucified Him.

Wasn't that the plan all along? Or was that another screw up?
It's amazing how you have to do mental gymnastics in order to make an obvious myth make sense to you.

Since you're not providing any real evidence, I can denying quite a bit.

Where, exactly, are all these bones?

It is true, Jacksbratt, that a truly loving God does not rule by coercive threats. That is one of the basic meanings of the life of Christ.
When you talk abut God's omnipotence, exactly what do y9 mean? If you means omnipotence in the traditional sense of can do anything, then that is not going to work. Even the church fathers, who stressed omnipotence, had to put qualifiers on it. Aquinas, for example, argued God could not violate the laws of geometry, change. etc. If Good has a strong personality, ten definitely certain things are off limits for God, just as any truly mature personality has boundaries. Also, there is the matter of freedom. If we have some real degree of genuine freedom, then Good cannot do all of the deciding for us; we have to decide for ourselves. I'm not saying that God is just ho9lding back. I believe G9od is doing all that he or she can. However, God's goal is to create beauty. Beauty means complexity, and complexity means freedom for things to be some other way.

Do you have any evidence for that claim? Some of those megalithic structures are stumping engineers even today.

You want evidence that people did it as opposed to...?

Check out this guy's talk about geologists not wanting to delve into it and architects being amazed and with no explanations....

Why should I buy into his conspiracy theory? He's got less evidence than you claim I have.

This has very interesting information and presents some evidence that is hard to deny.

You really think a two-hour video is going to make up for your lack of evidence? Why not provide something yourself instead of trying to bore me for the evening?

So do I have this correct?

Student: What were the "sons of God" in Genesis 6?
Valentine: In my professional opinion, mythological creatures.
Student: What were the Sirens?
Valentine: Mythological creatures thought to lure Greek sailors to their deaths with their hypnotic singing.

Do I have that right?

As usual, no -- your pathological inability to be honest caused you to deliberately omit the "I believe..." part of my sirens answer.

I can suffer your dishonesty, AV -- but not your clumsiness. If you're going to lie, at least show some talent for it.

Yes.

What were the "daughters of men" in Genesis 6?

"It would seem that this is a reference to human women."

(Although why you would categorize human women as "mythical creatures" is a mystery I neither know nor care about)

Wrong -- people have attempted to defraud us before... but the frauds are always discovered... by evolutionists.

You see, Jack -- we value honesty over winning the argument (although, seeing as how we've already won, it's understandable)

Well, while I'm apparently being so dishonest, let me be dishonest enough to say I think you're willingness to interpret the "sons of God" in Genesis 6 as "mythological creatures" stems from a desire to make your charge of "genocide" stick.

You know better than to interpret them as angels -- else there goes your false accusation.

I could be wrong, but then your evasiveness isn't clarifying anything; so if I am, it's your fault, IMO.

But because I'm such a nice guy, I'll ask you ... college professor ... yet again:

In your opinion, what are the "sons of God" in Genesis 6?

Your dishonesty is noted.

You know better than to interpret them as angels -- else there goes your false accusation.

I know better than a lot of things, AV.

I could be wrong, but then your evasiveness isn't clarifying anything; so if I am, it's your fault, IMO.

Evasiveness? I've given you straight answers to every question you've asked... It's your fault you don't like them.

But because I'm such a nice guy, I'll ask you ... college professor ... yet again:

In your opinion, what are the "sons of God" in Genesis 6?

In my opinion, they're mythological creatures -- but since the text doesn't bother to give any detail, we'd have to ask the Jews -- it's their text, after all.

Would you be interested in what the Jews believed, or can they take a hike?

It shows.

And it's one of the reasons I prefer to refer to higher academia as "higher aceldama."

The main reason being jealousy, from the looks of it.

Ya, I know there was a lot of photos of "shopped" giants due to an internet contest that produced many bogus giant photos. However the skulls are to numerous and tangible to be dismissed as any form of hoax. As are the Legends of the Paiute Indian's , numerous newspaper articles and old photos from before Photoshop.

Any one of these is much more tangible evidence for a race of giants, than any fossil evidence for evolution quackery. Especially when combined with the megalithic evidence all over the world of structures build with "lost technology" and of very grand dimensions.
So, go ahead....... stick your head in the sand and tell yourself "there were no giants la la la la la I can't hear you" as the evidence shouts that you are wrong.

Read your own linked image carefully... "was commissioned to sculpt this anatomically correct, and to scale, human femur..."

Even when the people who perpetrate the frauds tell you they're frauds, you refuse to listen... that's priceless...

That's your retort. The guy sculpted a replica of the excavated bone.....so you write off ALL the other evidence. Yet you still have a love affair with Lucy and the missing link and the other pieces of bone filed and epoxied and eventually found as a hoax in the courts? The guy didn't just make a bone that would be a large femur. He based it on actual finds and their measurements..... back to your head in the sand......

Oh my... we're back to argueing about giants. Got to love the silly, though though possibly the subject should be posted to the conspiracy theories section. Since it would require a global conspiracy involving universities and academics around the world.
