Does Science Agree With the Bible?

Abortions have been with us for quite a while. They were not as safe as today, but they used to be done by a Hebrew priest, if the wife had been supposedly cheating on the husband.

I doubt that any priest of Israel would kill babies.

Along with that comes help from the Holy Spirit.

What has happened though, is that God's gift is used against Him now.

Well, His evidence was left all over the place in the stones and the bones and the stars. I think it wise to read the evidence carefully and to regard the bible as speaking only to the spiritual aspect of our lives.

The stones and the bones and the stars are to attest to the glory of God and show His handiwork ...

Using those to show how He did it, or what happened back then, or when He did it, or anything else can, as Paul put it, lead to atheism.

I sometimes wonder if the type of folks many forums attract who supposedly represent science really do..?

At least not continually, like they do here.

I think most people are superficially familiar with the scientific method and like to use it as a tool against our faith.

They swing it around in the dark, hoping to score some kind of point against the Bible.

In almost ten years here, I can only think of two people (Thaumaturgy and Split Rock), who seriously investigated before they communicated.

The rest overlook basic doctrine, time stamps on posts, quote tags, fail to Google terms they haven't heard before, fail to proofread their posts, and a host of other things that clearly a true scientist wouldn't do.

Are we talking of the "God" character in the bible that allegedly walked and talked in a garden that has no evidence of having existed, poofed people and animals into existence, and later, in a manner contrary to the modern understanding of genetics, populated the planet with a tiny group of individuals and animals that survived a global flood in an unbuildable boat, a flood that killed the dinosaurs in a manner that only *appears* to be 65 million years ago, because the Earth is really only somehow 6000 years old, yet remains, by every objective measure to date indistinguishable from nothing?

I do not see evidence for that character being real.

I think it wise to read the evidence carefully and to regard the bible as speaking only to the spiritual aspect of our lives.

I do not think is wise to declare that virtually all of mainstream science is wrong in order to accommodate my beliefs.
