Me either. The "execute wrath and judgment" department has been vacant in my church for some time now...

And I take that to be a good thing.
But "no handing out of wrath and judgement" seems less likely to be the rule, however, for groups wishing to righteously impose goodness, (their version) by any means, including insult, intimidation or actual force if necessary.

I did then slip sideways into the idea of "executing judgement" being left to the hand of the Lord, in the context of being told more than once that (though it may be a surprise to some) Christian doctrine doe not allow for random events or "luck."
So if someone gets hit by lightning... that was perfectly and exactly intended. Or a "chance" encounter with an extremist group of *any* sort.
I am still working through what this would imply, for a world where a die roll is never "just die roll."

I don't believe anyone would see a good work these days with their faces glued to their ipods as often as they are these days.

But I also don't believe this nation is Christian (for the most part) anymore, but the nation itself receives immigrants in whether legally or illegally. I don't know any Christians (personally speaking ) who are calling every immigrant and all poor people lazy bums so I cant speak to what you see.

ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN (BosNewsLife)-- A Christian girl was kidnapped, beaten, stripped and left naked in Pakistan by Muslims who were outraged that her uncle plans to marry a Muslim, Christians involved in the case told BosNewsLife.

The attack against 7-year-old Perwasha in the country's Punjab province came amid a wider crackdown in mixed marriages and other relationships in this Islamic country.

Perwasha Masih was recovering on New Year's Day after a Muslim family forcibly stopped her on her way home from school in the village of Dillon Kalan in the provincial district of Kasur, Christians said.

They allegedly took her to their house where they reportedly beat her and stripped her naked, leaving the girl's school uniform in the garbage to burn.

"Its absolutely horrific," said Sardar Mushtaq Gill, national director of advocacy group Legal Evangelical Association Development (LEAD), who supports the girl and her family.

This is nothing but specious disinformation. The concern over Syrian immigrants isn't they may be lazy bums, it is they may be intent on dedicating their efforts here to achieve the same goal as the two San Bernardino shooters.

In addition according to the National Philanthropic Trust, in calendar year 2014 Americans donated $358.38 Billion to charities and charitable organizations.

I've been in situations, some very dire, where it convinced me 'chance' was invalid and 'design' was most valid. Yes this would be my subjective observation. Then again is it chance or design every day I get in a car to go to work and then pour a cup of coffee and listen to the fellas talk about the game last night? Some would call that a boring routine which is predictable....Until something out of the routine happens by chance? or design? So day to day it's hard for people to determine until there is a dire consequence which reduces 'error' for chance.

Now there are some, and with merit in their logic, who would argue that your lightning example shows something a bit different. That the lightning bolt was to hit by design at the exact coordinates where you just by free will decided to step.

Don't ask me to explain that one.
