I'm sorry, I'm still stuck on why you're ashamed of McKellan for being gay, but none of his other sins. Or why the image in the OP looks like a criminal. Or why the image is insulting to Jesus?
Any chance you could give a straight answer to those please?
why you're ashamed of McKellan for being gay but none of his other sins - I do not even want to visualize two men in bed.
but none of his other sins -Probably because they do not sicken me!
Or why the image in the OP looks like a criminal - I guarantee you wont find that image in church!
Or why the image is insulting to Jesus? - The image does not portray a virtuous man.
The bible says that virtue went out from the Lord's presence. I will go along with the shroud of Turin image as the authentic image of Christ because it also portrays a virtuous man. The image of the Christ the scientist designed is a refection of the evil in their hearts.
25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? - Mark 5
